Strictly’s Amber Davies shares ‘tearful’ selfie as she begs for votes just hours ahead of live show after vowing to ‘block out’ the backlash against her dance experience

Just before Saturday’s live show, Strictly Come Dancing’s Amber Davies posted a selfie that showed her looking upset. This came as she continues to receive criticism about her background in dance.

The 29-year-old, known for her appearances on Love Island and in West End shows, seemed upset while asking viewers to vote for her, despite saying she’s trying to ignore negative comments.

She posted a photo of herself forcing a smile from the car, with the caption: ‘Show Day 7 is here, and I’m starting to get more nervous each week.’

A recent close-up photo showed the actress appearing sad, and she captioned it with: ‘My heart is racing, and it’s not even 9am’.

Amber has faced criticism for taking over from the injured Dani Dyer, as she has a background in professional dance, including performing in West End shows.

She recently shared how she and her dance partner, Nikita Kuzmin, 27, were shielding themselves from negative reactions after a photo surfaced showing him affectionately kissing her on the head. They intentionally created a private space to avoid the commentary.

She explained that she was making a conscious effort to avoid distractions and focus on the present. She was trying to tune out everything around her and simply be mindful of the current moment.

I’m focusing entirely on my performance, Nikita, and the show, Strictly. I just want to go out there, enjoy everything we’ve worked on this week, and give a performance we can all be proud of.

Okay, so everyone’s been buzzing about those photos of me with Nikita, and honestly, I’m hearing a lot of talk about a so-called ‘show curse.’ Let me just say, the people around me are rolling their eyes at that whole idea! They – and I – think it’s completely ridiculous to suggest anything negative has happened. We’re all good, and I’m just living my life!

Amber went on to tell The Sun: ‘My motto for Strictly has been, just zone in and be present.’

Pictures published by The Sun show the actress’ boyfriend, Ben Joyce, seemed unfazed by the photos, as he was seen arriving at her London training studio last week.

According to a witness, Ben arrived at the venue with a large suitcase and was accompanied by their dog, Oreo, at the rehearsal space.

He seemed lost in thought, and it wasn’t clear if he was watching her, but he was back at the place where something had gone wrong.

Many men would struggle with their partner spending hours practicing dancing with an attractive man, particularly when they seem to have a strong connection while dancing together.

Amber revealed Ben is unfazed by speculation about her close bond with Nikita. 

People have been talking about a strong connection between Amber and Nikita, but Amber has stated she won’t let the show’s reputation for causing relationship problems affect her.

Amber assured everyone that Ben isn’t bothered by rumors of the ‘Strictly curse,’ and she’s also good friends with Nikita’s girlfriend, Lauren Jaine.

She said: ‘The only good thing is Ben is not a****.

I’m not too worried about it because it doesn’t seem to be causing any problems, which is good. It’s just that he’s lying down – that’s all.

Amber confessed to The Sun that she’s become very close to Lauren, Nikita’s girlfriend. She says she texts Lauren constantly – all day, every day – and that Lauren actually spends more time with her than with her boyfriend, Nikita. Amber jokingly admitted she feels like she’s ‘stolen’ Lauren’s attention, as Lauren even visited her dressing room before seeing Nikita recently.
