Starting next week, the Strictly Come Dancing live tour will begin, as celebrities and professional dancers dedicate countless hours to perfect their routines during rehearsals.
During the course of this week, Tasha Ghouri and Amy Dowden have been offering their followers a backstage peek into life on tour as they started rehearsals.
Before jetting off to Birmingham for our debut show next week, I’ve been hustling away in our London rehearsal space. It’s all about costumes that fit just right and countless hours dedicated to honing our craft through rigorous practice.
2024 Love Island finalist Tasha shared insights on her makeup and costume makeover, showcasing the process in a single Instagram photo while seated comfortably in a hair and makeup chair.
She later shared a look at one of her stunning looks, wowing in a sparkling gold dress.
For professional dancer Amy Dowden, she donned a golden dress that was all hers, flashing a radiant smile as she captured a self-portrait in front of a mirror, fully adorned with elegance.
Last month, it became known that Amy will join JLS singer JB Gill, aged 38, on the Strictly tour. You might recall that JB was the runner-up in the final held in December, following Dianne Buswell and Chris McCausland who were crowned winners and received the glitterball trophy.
Amy felt deeply disappointed when she sustained a stress fracture in her shin, which prevented her from participating in the second half of the series. As a result, Lauren Oakley stepped in to replace Amy as JB’s partner.
Last year, the Welsh celebrity came back to Strictly after undergoing a mastectomy following a breast cancer diagnosis, which made her recent injury and withdrawal from the program even more poignant.
Among the favorites set to join the tour in 2024 are actors like Wynne Evans, Jamie Bothwick, Montell Douglas, Sarah Hadland, and Shayne Ward.
Series winner Chris McCausland won’t be on the road though as he focuses on his own comedy tour.
In an exceptional finale, Chris emerged victorious over contestants Tasha Ghouri, JB, and Sarah Hadland, largely due to his charming humor and moving background that revitalized the show amidst a series of controversies.
In the record-breaking finale, every pair showcased three dances to the judges, with Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman later declaring Chris as the victor, taking home the coveted Glitterball trophy.
Next week, the cast of Strictly Tour performs in Birmingham, where they’ll be evaluated by the Strictly judging quartet: Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Bruno Tonioli, and Motsi Mabuse, who will be joining them for the first time.
