After being silent on the matter, Wynne Evans of Strictly spoke up following the surprising sex toy scandal involving him and Jamie Borthwick.

The 53-year-old opera singer and 30-year-old actor from EastEnders, both former contestants on the show last year, allegedly faced criticism from BBC executives due to a video involving adult toys.

Footage acquired by The Sun on Sunday showed Wynne and Jamie in a backstage setting following an instance where the star of the Go Compare commercial had sent the actor a sex toy as a present.

Two days following the incident where Wynne made an offensive sexual remark towards Jamie concerning dancer Janette Manrara, a video was recorded showing Jamie explaining that the toy had been delivered to the Utilita Arena’s reception by Wynne.

In response to the latest controversy surrounding him, Wynne decided to speak out, using his Instagram Story on Sunday to discuss his mental well-being instead.

Wynne posted a selfie two days ago, originally captioned as “Hey it’s Sunday. Doing ice therapy tomorrow gonna be wicked #happy #mensmentalhealth.” He re-shared the same picture with a revised caption that expresses his honesty: “Speaking my truth about my journey: Ice therapy coming up on Tuesday, staying positive and promoting men’s mental health #truth #menempowerment

On Sunday, footage broadcasted by The Sun revealed Jamie flashing a grin while brandishing a rubber prop of a sexual nature, followed by directing the camera towards Wynne, who was depicted in the video without a shirt, engaged in practice sessions alongside professional dancer Neil Jones.

Jamie exclaimed: “Check out what he got for me! When I unwrapped it, he managed to catch me off guard, didn’t he? It’s just hilarious!

Jamie reportedly shared the offensive clip on the Strictly contestant Whatsapp group.

According to a source, when BBC officials learned about the inappropriate and unprofessional video being circulated, they immediately took action and emphasized to the involved individuals the need for professional conduct.

In a family-oriented setting, some of the male performers displayed childish and unsuitable behavior that was out of place, as their coarse humor was not appreciated by several cast members.

Leaders were taken aback and startled, eager to address the matter promptly, yet they didn’t realize that the video had spread beyond their immediate circle.

The duo found the video amusing, but not everyone else did. This is because Strictly being a family program, many viewers might not find it humorous.

A day following Wynne’s criticism, he expressed eagerness to reveal the truth on Friday, which seems like another jab at Strictly.

In a less than polite manner, Wynne proposed a threesome involving Janette, using an incredibly disrespectful phrase referring to it as a “three-course meal” or “rotisserie scenario.

Despite no formal complaint from Janette, the singer apologized for his offensive remark about tour host Janette that surfaced during the tour’s press conference. The apology came after video footage of the comment emerged. As a result, he was removed from the tour.

The individual feels he’s been subjected to unfair treatment by the BBC, as it appears that his contentious joke, which was apparently a recognized nickname for a fellow cast member, was perceived as casual banter among the Strictly community.

Despite the ongoing controversy, it appears that Wynne intends to speak out about the show’s scandal, as evidenced by his recent activity on Instagram Stories.

As a die-hard devotee, I can’t help but feel my heart race whenever Wynne drops a hint about unveiling the truth. Just yesterday, in an unusual social media post, he implored us to maintain our optimism and also asserted that “truth triumphs” – words that echo like a battle cry within me!

Initially, he posted a picture of a gin bottle while savoring a beverage with the renowned Welsh vocalist Katherine Jenkins on a Sunday. Subsequently, he embarked on a 16.5-kilometer jog.

Wynne posted a picture of him after his workout along with his running data, and he clarified that physical activity plays a crucial role in promoting mental wellness.

He wrote: ‘Sunday morning 30 mins done. So good for your mental health #truthwins #wynners’.

On the next day, the celebrity from Go Compare continued with enthusiasm, sharing another weary selfie after a bicycle ride and inspiring all to strive for optimism.

Starting a fresh week, I completed a bicycle journey. Continue to maintain optimism, as the truth prevails, he emphasized, using the hashtags: ‘#TruthTriumphs #Victorious’. This implies he remains steadfast in his efforts to clear his name.

Previously, he made an attempt at a return last month by inquiring about his Instagram followers’ plans for the weekend – marking his initial interaction with fans since he was compelled to step away from his radio program.

Additionally, he promoted his BBC program, titled “All At Sea,” featuring the renowned Gavin & Stacey actress, Joanna Page. This broadcast followed the controversy.

According to a source who spoke to The Sun in January, Wynne feels that he has been unfairly treated. While he acknowledges that his choice of words may have been inappropriate, he believes the situation has been greatly misconstrued and misunderstood.

Last month, it was announced that since the recent scandal, his legal team has been working diligently to rehabilitate his reputation, as Wynne temporarily stepped away from his hosting role on BBC Radio Wales.

After two months, he’s yet to resume hosting duties on the show and continues to be represented by Robin Morgan.

Last week, when the Minister of State (MoS) inquired about his return, the BBC responded by citing his previous apology from January over the use of “inappropriate and unacceptable” language.

Following several terminations from business partnerships, it appears that Wynne’s legal team has prepared a detailed 30-page document to present during negotiations, aiming to preserve his cherished radio position amidst the ongoing dispute.

Wynne is supported by a legal team, and he possesses a substantial document, about thirty pages long, which he believes strengthens his argument.

It’s truly painful for him to have had to take a break from his beloved role at BBC Radio Wales, following his departure from Strictly.

Last month, the discussions were supposed to occur, but they got postponed because Wynne was dealing with some personal issues regarding his mental health.

The confidant further stated that the predicament took a significant toll on Wynne, and he’s determined to maintain the position that carries immense importance for him.

Listeners of BBC Radio Wales express their fondness for him, creating various social media platforms to display their backing.

In response to the public backlash following his apology for an offensive comment directed towards tour host Janette, it is said that the actor from the Go Compare advertisements feels his reputation has been unjustly damaged and left in pieces (or tatters). This happened when footage of the comment surfaced during the press launch of the tour.

Liz Brookes, his girlfriend, aged 50, is standing by him during the controversy, providing her unwavering support to Wynne as it’s claimed he’s pursuing legal action against the BBC.

In the MoS movie, Wynne positions himself amidst a group of 20 celebrities and dancers, with Janette, the host of Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, being called over to join them. As she makes her way towards them, Wynne, smiling, cautions her: “Stay a bit away from Jamie [Borthwick]!

Later, he subtly makes a flirtatious expression towards the actor, while Janette isn’t looking, as she passes by them. It is precisely at this moment that Wynne delivers his offensive joke about her.

Moments after, Aljaz Skorjanec, Janette’s dancer spouse standing closeby, inquires, “Sweetheart, are you alright?” To which she responds tersely, “Yes.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share that it came to my attention through a trusted source that Janette herself was unaware of Wynne’s comment, a remark that echoed distinctly even from the vantage point of a reporter filming at a distance of about 20 yards with just a mobile phone.

The man with two children found himself in a previous scandal after spectators noticed his dance partner, Katya Jones, seemingly forcing his hand away from her waist when it wandered off course during their performance.
