Friends of Wynne Evans, his fellow Strictly colleagues, are offering him heartfelt wishes on his birthday, following the news that he has taken a break from his radio show due to the controversy sparked by an explicit comment.
The future of the opera star in the BBC is currently under close examination following his appearance on video by The Mail on Sunday, where he made an offensive sexual remark about Jeanette Manrara.
On Monday, Wynne agreed to the BBC’s proposal to temporarily step away from his BBC Wales program, a role he’s been fulfilling from various regional studios during his nationwide tour.
According to a source, the hiatus originated from the uproar over his remark, compounded by his ongoing grief following the recent death of his elder brother Huw, as well as the exhaustion stemming from constant travel.
On his 53rd birthday on Monday, Wynne received heartfelt support from his fellow actors, recognizing the delicate state of his mental wellbeing and offering him comfort in return.
According to an inside source, Wynne’s fellow cast members are rallying together to support him. They’re exerting significant effort to help him through this tough time, as they express genuine concern for his wellbeing and mental state.

Over the last couple of days, he’s been going through a hard time. But since today is his birthday, they are putting in extra effort to ensure him that he isn’t all by himself.
Earlier this month, there’s been a recording where Wynne made an inappropriate and disrespectful comment proposing a threesome involving presenter Janette (aged 41), using the extremely offensive term “spit-roasting”.
Instead of him appearing with his show on Monday morning as previously planned, BBC Wales announced that comedy artist Robin Morgan will step in to host the program temporarily since the regular presenter is taking a brief leave of absence.
Wynne perfected the latest leg of the Strictly tour at the OVO Hydro Glasgow on Sunday night.
His arrival occurred several hours following his apology, which was published in The Mail on Sunday regarding his comments to Janette.
He said: ‘My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise.’
Representatives from BBC Studios and the Strictly Live Tour organizers stated that they were unaware of the comment beforehand and had not received any reports of concerns. They’ve explicitly informed Wynne that such behavior is not acceptable during the tour, and it will not be tolerated.
It was revealed on Sunday night Wynne would not be axed from the tour in light of his comments.

According to what a tour insider shared with The Sun, the tour producers immediately convened a meeting with Wynne after becoming aware of the comments made.
He expressed deep regret and acknowledged that his words were inappropriate and not acceptable. He was advised firmly, leaving no room for doubt, that such language will not be tolerated, and he received a warning as a consequence.
Backstage at Glasgow, I’m utterly heartbroken to see Wynne, my beloved friend and fellow traveler on this tour, drenched in sorrow. His popularity among us isn’t just a title; it’s the genuine affection we all share for him. He’s not just a cast member, but a cherished companion to many of us here.
