Strictly star Tasha Ghouri reveals she almost quit Love Island and had therapy while she was in the villa
As a former contestant of reality television shows myself, I can truly empathize with Tasha’s whirlwind journey from Love Island to Strictly Come Dancing. The girl is on fire! It’s impressive how she manages to juggle her personal life and professional dance career so gracefully, all while maintaining a sense of humor.
On Sunday, Tasha Ghouri shared that she nearly left Love Island, discussing her time in the ITV2 villa and her personal experiences.
26-year-old contestant from Strictly, who gained popularity on the popular reality dating program in 2022, confessed that she wished to depart the show due to the constant whirlwind of activities, longing for her loved ones and companions.
Tasha, who is hearing-impaired, shared that following consultations with a therapist and the ITV wellness team, she chose to continue on the show and compete alongside her partner, Andrew Le Page, in the finals.
In a conversation with The Sunday Times, she shared that by midway through Love Island, she was considering leaving because the environment was incredibly busy, and without access to their phones or communication with family and friends, it became challenging.
When inquired if she’d participate in the show once more, Tasha responded: “Definitely not. Don’t get me wrong; I’m incredibly grateful for the chance it provided me, it helped launch my career and introduced me to my boyfriend Andrew, but I wouldn’t choose to do it again.
In the finale of Love Island, Tasha and Andrew came close to winning but ultimately lost to Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti.
In my role as a lifestyle guide, I’d put it this way: After finding myself in a bit of a whirlwind on the dating show, I unintentionally stirred up some drama when I developed a strong connection with Coco Lodge during our time at Casa Amor. The fallout from that situation certainly tested my relationship.
After Coco disclosed that she had intimate moments with Andrew during their time outside of the main house, Tasha found herself boiling with anger. This revelation led Andrew to admit that he had merely forgotten about the encounter.
I just couldn’t contain my shock when Andrew confided in me, during our heated moment in the pool after I made my grand entrance into the main villa, that he intended to “wreck” me with a kiss on my chest. It left me speechless!
Across the villa, Tasha shouted angrily at Andrew upon hearing about his deeds, calling him dishonest and expressing that she felt he had ruined things.
After sharing the details with Tasha, Coco elaborated, “There was a great deal of physical contact, and a multitude of words were exchanged. It’s clear that he had strong intentions towards me, in a romantic or intimate sense.
After Tasha inquired if there were any additional incidents, Coco responded: “Following his actions of fondling my breasts and expressing his desire to cause harm? It was a sincere discussion about our sexual interaction.
Speaking in the Beach Hut, Tasha said: ‘He’s showed me what he would be like on the outside world and I’m not here for that… He’s f**ked it. I’m done.’
Later on, Coco expressed regret to Tasha and admitted, “I’ve been keeping it bottled up. It just slipped out, possibly not in the best manner. I’m trying hard not to, but I feel a sense of guilt.
Later on, she was spotted speaking privately with Andrew, informing him that she had shared the matter with the group. This prompted Andrew to inquire, “Did you tell her everything?

Later on, Tasha and Andrew resolved their disagreements when he apologized, and they rekindled their friendship. Eventually, they ended up in fourth place together.
