Strictly star John Whaite reveals the staggering amount he has made on OnlyFans as he quits site

Okay, so I was scrolling through Instagram and John Whaite just *dropped* this bombshell! He actually talked about how much money he’s made on OnlyFans – and it’s a *huge* amount! I’m honestly floored. He just casually revealed it in a video, and I’m still reeling. I mean, John Whaite on OnlyFans *and* being open about the earnings? Incredible!

The television personality, who became famous after winning The Great British Bake Off in 2012, returned to social media earlier this year, explaining that his 12-year career in TV had lost its appeal.

John has changed his mind and announced this week that he is leaving the adult website.

After working on the site for 11 months, John revealed he’d earned a substantial $270,000 (about £199,147). He added that he believes he could have made four times that amount if he’d been able to dedicate more time to it.

Even so, the Bake Off champion explained that he’s not motivated by money and prefers to concentrate on running his bakery.

Someone asked the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant how much money they earned from being on the show, wanting to know if it was worth participating financially.

He admitted it was a difficult question, explaining he generally avoids discussing his personal finances. However, he acknowledged the topic was unavoidable, as there’s a lot of speculation about how much money he’s made on OnlyFans – some believe he’s earned millions, while others think he hasn’t made any money at all.

He explained that he earned $270,000 in 11 months. He believes he could have made much more – potentially two, three, or even four times that amount – if he’d dedicated more time to OnlyFans.

Creating content is only part of the process. You also need to market it effectively, grab people’s attention, and give them a compelling reason to follow you.

Okay, so everyone’s doing their thing with OnlyFans and honestly, good for them if it works! But me? It’s just… not my vibe. Money’s cool and all, but it doesn’t even *compare* to how happy I am working at the Ruff Puff bakehouse. Seriously, being surrounded by all that deliciousness and making people smile with treats? That’s what *really* makes me tick. It’s just… more fulfilling, you know?

He said he’ll miss the social interaction and creative side of his work, but he’s looking forward to not feeling pressured to maintain a muscular physique. He wants to be able to relax about his weight and admits that being so focused on his body image wasn’t healthy.

The baker is refocusing on his brownie business, Ruff Puff Brownies and Ruff Puff Bakehouse, and returning to something he’s skilled at but hadn’t been prioritizing.

Back in March John accused Waitrose

of ‘removing his recipes from its website’ just weeks after he rejoined OnlyFans.

The celebrity chef shared his personal recipes on the supermarket’s website, along with a short biography stating he’s a chef, TV personality, and author who won The Great British Bake Off in 2012.

‘His books include Perfect Plates in 5 Ingredients and A Flash in the Pan.’

However, when fans clicked on John’s profile, they were unexpectedly taken to a page showcasing recipes from eight other chefs, rather than his own. It redirected them to the ‘Guest Recipes’ section.

John noticed that Waitrose has stopped linking his recipes on Instagram, instead directing people to similar recipes created by other cooks. He feels like his past work with them is being erased.

‘My catalogue of YouTube videos with them has also disappeared. It’s like I never existed.

‘No one at Waitrose informed me or told me why… I can only guess that it’s because I do OnlyFans.

‘So I’m sorry if you wanted to use one of my recipes and now cannot.

I understand my content isn’t a good fit for their brand, and I would have been okay with that if they had just been respectful. But deleting all my work without warning or giving me a chance to back it up is really disrespectful.

A Waitrose representative shared with The Sun that they often update the recipes on their website to keep them fresh. They also expressed their appreciation for John’s contributions.

Daily Mail contacted Waitrose for comment at the time.
