Speaking about her new role, Sam shared her excitement at joining the ITV Racing team.
Growing up as a native of Liverpool, the Grand National has always been a significant part of my life. Every year, my family would unite at our home to watch the race on television and root for our horses to cross the finish line. In 2017, I finally had the opportunity to attend the event in person, an experience that remains etched in my memory forever.
I’m eagerly anticipating joining the ITV Racing crew this year, engaging with the remarkable folks on-site and the multitude who will be tuning in from their homes.
This isn’t their debut acting role on television; they are a gold medal Olympian who has previously been seen on shows like “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”, “A Question of Sport”, and “Celebrity Mastermind”.
Previous year, she danced on Strictly with her professional counterpart Nikita Kuzmin. Unfortunately, they were eliminated during the seventh week, as they lost against Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe in the elimination round.
Later on, I expressed my sense of pride over the couple’s performance in the competition during an interview with Fleur East on It Takes Two. I confessed that it felt a bit strange returning and being in such a setting, yet ultimately, I remain proud of what I managed to accomplish. Every day, I’ll miss this guy tremendously, but I can honestly say that I have no regrets.
Although I am extremely proud, I wasn’t quite prepared to leave yet – I believe I had more to give. However, this is just the essence of competition.
