Strictly favourites Tasha Ghouri and Montell Douglas look in high spirits as they join the rest of the cast to head to the studio for Movie Week
As a 66-year-old woman who has seen and done it all, I can certainly empathize with Toyah Willcox’s spirit. Her resilience and determination are truly inspiring. She may be old to some, but she sure doesn’t act like it! Her strength and vitality are a testament to the fact that age is just a number, and one should never let it define them.
With noticeable enthusiasm, Tasha Ghouri and Montell Douglas, along with other celebrities and dance partners, cheerfully headed towards the London studios in anticipation of Movie Week, set for this coming Saturday.
On Love Island, the 26-year-old celebrity exuded casual elegance wearing a comfortable gray sweater and matching brown leather pants.
She made sure to keep warm by throwing on a long tan trench coat and layering up with a a cosy grey and brown scarf.
Tasha, gearing up to dance to ‘What Was I Made For?’ by Billie Eilish in the upcoming Barbie production, appeared to exude self-assurance, sharing a jovial moment with one of her fellow performers.
Instead of a bun, the television personality gathered her lengthy golden locks and tied them up, showcasing her authentic charm. Later, she is set to receive a makeover that exudes glamour.
She was joined by Montell, who was ready to go in workout clothes ahead of the live show.
The 38-year-old Olympic athlete is going to personify a “Dreamgirl” in her dance performance, and she’s eagerly preparing to pour all her energy into a performance of “One Night Only.
With a smile on her face, she departed from the London hotel, dressed casually in black workout leggings, a simple white T-shirt, and an off-white hoodie. She also wore high socks and athletic sneakers.
Montell adorned a sleek black headband and lugged her items in a spacious black tote bag, maintaining an effortless elegance even without makeup during her travel.
Last week, I found myself among the elite top five contenders, and this week, I’m thrilled to welcome Chris McCausland and his dance partner, Diane Buswell, into our circle. Their radiant smiles speak volumes about their joy and excitement.
Diane, aged 35, flashed a thumbs-up at the camera while standing beside the jovial comedian, 47 years old, who had an enormous smile on his face.
The pro dancer showed off her signature quirky style in a leopard print zip-up top and black cargo trousers, teamed with a pair of Doc Martens.
She donned a leather jacket as a means to stay warm and styled her vibrant red hair in a half-up, half-down fashion.
Simultaneously, Chris sported a relaxed look in blue joggers, complemented by a zipped sweater from Fred Perry in shades of black, green, and orange.
Wynne Evans displayed his slender physique once more, donning a white t-shirt, green coat, and blue denim pants, as he exited the hotel.
52-year-old opera sensation from Go Compare was beaming as he made his way to his third live performance, buoyed by the positive remarks from the judges just a week prior.
In another place, Shayne Ward didn’t shy away from opting for comfort, as he stepped out wearing a cozy pair of grey fluff slippers and white socks instead.
The victor of The X Factor and the actor, aged 39, appeared to have been putting in some intense workouts, sporting a vibrant lime green Puma T-shirt along with coordinating sports shorts, all covered by a layer of gray gym leggings.
Aljaž Škorjanec, Tasha’s professional dance partner who is 34 years old, exhibited self-assurance while sipping coffee in a navy blue outfit inspired by space themes, prior to additional practice sessions.
Sam Quek also sipped on a hot drink as she headed to the studio holding a Louis Vuitton duffel bag.
35-year-old Athlete, clad in a gray GAP hoodie and flared leggings, seemed engrossed in contemplation as she exited the hotel.
In the meantime, Toyah Wilcox maintained a resilient demeanor following her declaration to disprove the skeptics, triumphing over Tom Dean during the dance-off last week.
66-year-old singer defended herself against accusations from younger fans that she appears too old, asserting that her behavior and strength don’t align with their perception of her age.
Over the past weekend, Tom was the one who got eliminated from the show initially, while Toyah along with her professional partner Neil Jones were spared by the judges’ decision.
Neil managed to stay optimistic even after last week’s disappointment, and he showcased his excellent taste in clothing by sporting a stylish double-denim outfit.
Dr Punam Krishan also seemed in high spirits as she joined Diane with the leopard print theme.
Gorka Márquez, aged 34 and her partner, sported a stylish, pastel pink sweater with lace-up shoes of the same color.
This week, the BBC weekly show is all about movies, and the remaining stars are gearing up for a fierce competition to avoid being eliminated next.
In conversation with The Sun, contestant Toyah shared her thoughts on the dance-off last week: “Everyone was taken aback. Being an Olympian, Tom might be expected to excel, but in a dance-off, I’ll put forth my best effort regardless of who I’m up against.
They are observing someone petite and approximately 66 years of age, who might be around the same age as their mom or grandma. I get that to younger individuals I may seem very old, but I don’t act my age.
Toyah commented: ‘It’s intriguing to me that there are some young individuals who may not recognize me. This could be because they aren’t yet aware of my strength.’
Meanwhile, fellow celeb Montell has admitted she is struggling to dance in high heels.
In her conversation with The Mirror, she expressed: “The most challenging aspect isn’t maintaining the routine; it’s the footwear. It’s enduring the task in a pair of shoes that seem intent on fracturing your foot. Surprisingly, these shoes excel at causing discomfort.
The Gladiator actress confessed that she is not accustomed to donning high heels, making it feel as if she’s been dancing all night in them during an evening out.
Montell is resolved to face every obstacle coming her way, despite feeling she hasn’t been easily recognizable during the initial stages of the program.
She suggested: ‘You should fully engage because you’ll probably only have one chance, so it’s better to give your best shot rather than backing down.’
For the initial week, I’ll be dressed in an elegant ball gown, quite unlike anything you’ve seen before. Following that, it will be a lively Carnival Samba theme, making me virtually unrecognizable.
