As a seasoned ballroom dance aficionado who has spent countless hours glued to my television set, I must say that the journey of Chris and Dianne is nothing short of extraordinary. Having watched numerous competitions and dancers throughout the years, I’ve never seen anything quite like this pair. The unique dynamics of their partnership, with Chris learning to dance without sight and Dianne adapting her teaching methods to accommodate his lack of vision, has been a captivating spectacle that transcends the dance floor.

Fans of Strictly Come Dancing declared Sarah Hadland the “winner” in their eyes, as her Rumba performance was deemed the “best Rumba ever seen” on last Saturday’s episode.

As a devoted admirer, I find myself expressing the belief that the actress, aged 53, has the potential to dethrone Chris McCausland as the front-runner, following a performance that earned her an impressive 36 points from the judges.

Sarah along with her collaborator, Vito Coppola, performed an exhilarating dance routine to the song “Chains” by Tina Arena, sending shivers down the spines of the series’ audience.

In a message to X, spectators expressed: “SARAH HADLAND is my pick because of that incredible dance!!”; or

“Sarah and Vito’s Rumba on #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing was simply outstanding!

‘Sarah has a good chance of winning because she is performing exceptionally well. Standout performer’; ‘Sarah might take the trophy’; ‘I rate Sarah and Vito’s performance a perfect 10! That was incredible! I’m not exaggerating; this dance was the best we’ve seen in the series yet, not just the best Rumba of the series. It showcased professional caliber.’

Chris and dance partner Dianne Buswell are heavily favored to win the program, with odds of 1/5 indicating they have an approximately 83% chance of winning. They’ve been the favorites since the second week and have maintained that position.

Among all contenders, Sarah is considered the one who poses the greatest challenge to Chris’ path towards triumph, yet she currently trails significantly in the odds, standing at 9-to-2 in the betting. Tasha Ghouri completes the top three with odds of 10-to-1.

According to spokesperson Lee Phelps from William Hill, it appears that Chris McCausland is unstoppable in the Strictly Come Dancing odds, and he might as well be holding onto the Glitterball Trophy already.

Although there are still four weeks remaining, Chris has a strong advantage in the betting for this year’s series with odds at 1/5. This puts him well ahead of Sarah Hadland (whose odds are 9/2) and Tasha Ghouri (with odds of 10/1).

Dianne’s parents have now flown over from Australia to see the pair in action.

Seven pairs are still competing in the BBC dance competition following the elimination of Wynne and Katya over the weekend, even though Pete and Jowita placed last on the judges’ rankings at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Last Friday, Chris shared how his Strictly Come Dancing partner, Dianne, instructs him on the dance routine.

The comedian, age 47 and the first visually impaired participant on the popular BBC show, described himself as feeling like a flexible Spider-Man during rehearsals as he navigates the dance routines.

Chris confessed that at first, Diane was completely baffled about how to instruct him on choreography; they experimented with various techniques in the process.

On The Graham Norton Show, he shared: ‘At first, we were clueless about how to pull it off, so we chose to improvise and wait and see the outcome. I had no dancing education, while Dianne hadn’t ever instructed someone who couldn’t see.’

At times, she explains the tasks that need to be done, while at other times, I find myself crawling on all fours to decipher her leg and foot movements, and occasionally, she takes control and moves a specific body part as desired.

He added: ‘I’m like a bendy Spiderman! But whatever it is we are doing it is working.’

After their weekend performance, Chris commented: “Attending Blackpool was simply marvelous; it feels just like Wembley for ballroom dancing.

‘I’m actually surprised I’m still in it. It was perfect and I celebrated like I’d won the FA cup!’
