Strictly Come Dancing’s Shirley Ballas announced for another BBC role
As a seasoned gamer with a heart for dance and storytelling, I must say that Shirley Ballas‘ venture into reading CBeebies Bedtime Stories is a delightful twist to her illustrious career! Her journey from the glittering ballroom of Strictly Come Dancing to the cozy confines of children’s literature is nothing short of inspiring.
The popular “Strictly Come Dancing” performer, Shirley Ballas, is set to take on a fresh role at the BBC before the show’s final airs this weekend.
On this coming Friday, the 13th of December, the chief judge will be narrating a bedtime story from CBeebies. The featured guest will engage in Aoife Greenham’s “Big Dance.
The narrative is characterized as a story that explores self-expression and the joy of participation, and it centers around Pippa, who wonders if she can uncover her inner rhythm as she observes her companions dancing uniquely.
However, as she is gently encouraged, Pippa learns that dancing is all about taking the first step.
Shirley expressed her joy, saying she hoped to assist kids tuning in at home in discovering their unique dancing spirit.
While getting ready for it, I rehearsed by reading the book “Big Dance” to my one-year-old grandson, Banksi, over a video call. It was truly delightful to witness his joyful response.
Besides Shirley, other notable figures such as Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman and actor James Norton from “Happy Valley” have also read CBeebies Bedtime Stories in the recent past.
Meanwhile, it’s worth mentioning that the judge on Strictly Come Dancing has openly shared her love life has turned out to be quite challenging after her breakup with Danny Taylor.
At present, Shirley announced on the Great Company podcast that she has recently ended her relationship with her partner. She shared that her romantic experiences have generally been challenging and disappointing throughout.
What I appreciate most deeply is that I still have my mother by my side, living with me, and I get to cherish those special moments we share. My mother has been the constant presence in my life – more so than any friend, relationship, or other circumstance.
Shirley Ballas will read a bedtime story on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer at 6:50 PM on December 13th. Meanwhile, “Strictly Come Dancing” can be found on BBC One every Saturday, and its spin-off show, “Strictly: It Takes Two,” airs on BBC Two weeknights. Both shows can also be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
