Strictly Come Dancing’s Sam Quek risks ‘fix row’ after hinting she was going to have dance lessons before appearing on the show

Strictly Come Dancing's Sam Quek risks 'fix row' after hinting she was going to have dance lessons before appearing on the show

As a fervent fan of Strictly Come Dancing, I have to say that Sam Quek’s announcement has sent a thrill down my spine! With her impressive background as a GB hockey sensation and her previous dance experiences on I’m A Celebrity and with Ola Jordan, she seems like a perfect fit for the show.

Sam Quek from Strictly Come Dancing seems to have stirred up speculations about potential manipulation, as she suggested that she might have taken dance classes prior to her appearance on the show.

The GB hockey sensation, 35, will be taking part in this year’s series on the BBC but has previously teased she was going to get lessons.

She is set to be part of a group that includes Nick Knowles, Paul Merson, and Pete Wicks on a program that has faced allegations of misconduct involving abuse and bullying over the past few months.

Sporting star Sam appeared on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity in 2016 with former Strictly pro Ola Jordan.

In a chat with HELLO! following the performance, she revealed they, along with her husband Tom Mairs, would start taking dance lessons.

Sam mentioned that he became acquainted with Ola and James in Australia, who inspired us to learn dancing. It turned out that Wayne Bridge and Frankie were already proficient dancers.

Instead of spending our time socializing on the couch, it would be beneficial for us to go out and increase our activity levels. So, we plan to enroll in some fitness classes at the nearby corner.

A representative for Sam has been contacted by TopMob for comment.

On Monday’s episode of The One Show, it was revealed that Sam will be participating in this week’s edition of Strictly, joined by Nick and Paul as well.

Sam, who holds an MBE, is well-known as a TV personality and a previous athlete specializing in field hockey. Furthermore, she served as the team captain for the popular sports quiz show “A Question of Sport.”

In international competitions, she donned jersey number 13 while representing both England and Great Britain’s national teams in a defensive role. She earned a gold medal with her fellow Brits during the 2016 Summer Olympics.

She said on the show: ‘I am so relieved it is out there now it has been hard to keep a secret!

1. ‘Gossips were circulating, forcing me into a white lie! I’m accustomed to shaking it on a ladies’ night, and I promise to give it my best shot. I’m aiming to reach Blackpool!’

On Monday evening, stars Nick (age 61), Sam, and ex-footballer Paul (age 56) graced The One Show, following the exciting announcement that was made.

Last year, Presenter Nick shared that he participated in a passionate Argentine Tango dance in Rio, and he couldn’t help but think it was fantastic. Since his older sister was an accomplished ballroom dancer, he considers himself the least skilled dancer among his family members.

‘I am going to really go for it I will throw myself at it 100 per cent!’

Nick is a television presenter, writer and musician. He is best known for his presenting roles on the BBC, including game shows Who Dares Wins, Break the Safe and 5-Star Family Reunion.

Simultaneously, Paul previously played as a professional footballer, managed teams, provided commentary, and served as a sports analyst and pundit for Sky Sports.

Initially playing as a forward, Merson eventually thrived as an offensive midfielder and creative force towards the end of his professional years.

He mentioned on The One Show, “I won’t fret over it until it begins, but once it does, I’ll feel anxious – after all, I’ve only danced three times in my entire life. However, I’m going to give it a shot because I play to win and I certainly won’t hold back in my efforts.”

Besides Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri, former JLS member JB Gill, and well-known opera singer Wynne Evans, some notable figures are also participating.

The show will return in the autumn to the BBC.
