Strictly Come Dancing’s Nick Knowles admits that you never feel “safe” in the competition
As a gamer with years of experience navigating through various challenges and obstacles, I can certainly relate to Nick Knowles’ feelings as he embarks on this new journey in Strictly Come Dancing. Like him, I too have ventured into territories that I was not initially familiar with, only to find myself outside my comfort zone.
With the first round of eliminations complete on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, Nick Knowles shares his insights on the contest and expresses some concerns about his position in the competition, as one might expect.
Speaking as a fan, just like Knowles himself admitted, I’m not cut out for the dance floor. He clarified this during his interview on It Takes Two, the spin-off of Strictly Come Dancing. For us amateurs without the necessary experience, there’s no real security in the competition.
I think, to be honest, for those of us that have never had any dance experience at all, I don’t think you ever feel that you are safe anyway.
His ideas are entirely logical. Granted, he might not have been the most off-beat dancer in the crowd, but pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone can be quite challenging. Moreover, with fan votes and judge scores influencing his competition standing, there are numerous variables to consider when it comes to his survival in the contest.
Nick Knowles expresses his surprise over not being eliminated on Strictly Come Dancing
Indeed, there was more to come from him, for he appeared just as taken aback that he managed to survive the initial elimination and remain in the competition.
I was surprised that I didn’t go after the first group number to be honest. So to actually still be a part of the thing! To see someone eliminated is really tough, because everybody behind the scenes has become such a lovely family that you have to sort of commiserate with one person and congratulate another at the same time. It’s very odd.
Week after week, mastering complex dance routines demands a significant amount of effort. For numerous celebrities, this isn’t a skill they normally possess. Thus, merely surviving the initial elimination round must feel like an impressive milestone to start with.
Right now, the focus is on watching him progress and see just how far he’ll go, while also observing his weekly improvements. Though Nick Knowles isn’t a professional dancer, he’s certainly putting in his best effort to demonstrate that he has the skills needed for Strictly Come Dancing.
