Motsi Mabuse has shared how she lost weight and kept it off, revealing the key to her fit figure.
The 44-year-old Strictly Come Dancing judge made a comeback to television last month, sporting a noticeably different appearance as she resumed her position on the judging panel.
Rather than using weight loss injections like some celebrities, Motsi chose a more traditional approach, concentrating on eating well and getting regular exercise.
She says her incredible weight loss is thanks to lifting weights and a diet rich in nuts, fruits, and salads.
Motsi also revealed menopause sparked her motivation to get fit for ‘what’s to come’.
She expressed frustration to The Sun that online discussions and podcasts about the situation always focus on scaring people. She said she’s never heard anyone offer reassurance, even when she specifically asked Shirley Ballas if things would be alright. Ballas reportedly shook her head and said it would be a difficult time ahead.

I’m getting ready for anything by focusing on my health. I’ve completely changed my diet, started lifting weights to build muscle, and I’m eating a lot of healthy foods like nuts, fruits, and salads.
I’m making time for the sauna three times a week because it helps lower stress hormones. I also enjoy ice baths, which I’ve found are really beneficial for my mental well-being.
Motsi admitted she’s lost weight, but worries her hectic schedule with ‘Strictly’ will make it hard to maintain her progress.
With ‘Strictly’ back on television, she’s feeling anxious and worried about how she’ll manage everything. Her main concern is balancing her commitments, particularly while she’s also touring.
This season of Strictly Come Dancing features a significant change, which sources say is partly intended to reduce criticism aimed at head judge Shirley Ballas, who has been heavily trolled for her choices during dance-offs.
Shirley, age 65, has been a deciding vote on the panel since 2017, breaking ties whenever the judges couldn’t agree on which couple to keep.
She’s no longer solely responsible for that decision. Now, the judging duties are shared weekly among her colleagues: Motsi, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m always fascinated by how people navigate big changes, and I recently shared my own. For the past seven years, I’ve had this one incredibly demanding responsibility, and honestly, it’s been a lot! But I’m excited to say things are shifting, and I’m about to hand that over – it feels like a huge weight off my shoulders!

Tess Daly, one of the show’s hosts, announced that viewers will now decide which of the judges has the final say in the voting each week.
Several reasons led to the change, including a desire to make the results show more dramatic. However, it also followed reports that judge Shirley had requested help dealing with ongoing and harsh online criticism of her previous judging choices.
According to a source speaking to The Mirror, one positive outcome of the recent changes is that Shirley will likely face less harsh criticism.
The rules have been changed mainly to make the show more entertaining, but it’s also good that it will reduce the amount of unfair criticism directed at the judges, particularly someone as popular as Shirley.
Daily Mail has contacted a representative for Strictly Come Dancing for comment.
