Initially considered a potential champion on the dance competition, Jamie Borthwick, aged 30 and formerly known from EastEnders, unfortunately experienced a disappointing setback, as suggested by betting odds.
This weekend, as stars prepare to take the stage at the spectacular Blackpool Tower’s dance floor – betting agencies have released new predictions on who might win the championship.
As reported by WalesOnline, Chris McCausland, Sarah Hadland, and Tasha Gouri are the top three contenders predicted to reach the finale at present.
In this competition, it appears that comedian Chris has the best chances, being five times less likely to win than losing (1/5 odds). Actress Sarah follows closely, having three times the chances of losing (1/3 odds), while Love Island star Tasha seems to have a high probability of winning, given her 4/5 odds. This leaves Jamie as the contestant with the least favorable odds, standing at 6/4.
Jamie, teaming up with professional dancer Michelle Tsiakkas, is set to compete against other famous faces during this year’s Blackpool week. At the end of the event, one duo will have to leave the competition.
Mike Reading, a representative from Betway, stated that according to the current odds, Chris McCausland and Sarah Hadland are the clear favorites to advance to the final three in this year’s Strictly competition.
Tasha Ghouri is currently favored with odds of 4/5 to reach the final round. However, Jamie Borthwick isn’t too far off, and we’ve adjusted his odds from their original value to 6/4, indicating a strong possibility that he will make it to the series finale as well.
As we reach the midpoint of the show, and the pairs prepare for their journey to Blackpool, opera singer Wynne Evans finds himself in partnership with Katya Jones.

If Pete hopes to continue in the contest, he must impress the judges with his Cha Cha dance to the song “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred.

With that outstanding display, Chris has made it more likely than anyone else to win the Glitterball Trophy.

Shayne Ward, along with his partner Nancy Xu, did not participate in the Blackpool festivities as they were eliminated in a tense dance-off during the previous week’s show against Wynne and Katya.
Judge Shirley Ballas ultimately decided to eliminate the past X Factor contestant, a choice that ignited outrage among viewers.
In the end, she cast the deciding vote since the judges reached a tie, with Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse preferring Shayne and Nancy, while Anton Du Beke favored Wynne and Katya.
