Also featuring Georgina Campbell, Liam Neeson, and Lesley Manville, the film Cold Storage is a sci-fi horror comedy about two workers at a self-storage facility. Their job gets complicated when a dangerous, parasitic fungus breaks loose from an old military base where the facility was built.
At time of writing, its aggregated Rotten Tomatoes score is a very respectable 78%.

According to The AU Review, the movie is delightfully over-the-top, silly, and completely unrestrained. They describe it as delivering exactly what you’d expect: a fun, chaotic experience with disastrous science, widespread panic, and a surprisingly enjoyable take on the end of the world.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is smartly self-aware and doesn’t take itself too seriously. While it’s enjoyable, a stronger script could have made it even better.
The San Francisco Chronicle wasn’t very impressed, noting that while Liam Neeson carries the film, it only manages to be just okay.
Bloody Disgusting noted that while this movie might not be as lively or funny as the original, it’s still an enjoyable horror film and a good choice for a Valentine’s Day date.

The film is based on the 2019 novel of the same name by David Koepp, who also wrote the movie’s script. Jonny Campbell directed the adaptation.
According to Koepp, the movie Cold Storage delivers on all fronts – it’s frightening, humorous, thrilling, unexpected, and a lot of fun to watch.
Campbell explained the project was a grand, immersive experience with both broad scope and intricate details. He was immediately captivated by David’s playful, clever writing style, which combined humor and fantastical elements in a unique way.
Cold Storage arrives in UK cinemas on 20 February.
