Stranger Things star Sadie Sink confirmed for West End debut – here’s how to get tickets

With Stranger Things finishing up next month, Sadie Sink is already starting her next big job! She’ll be playing a role in a new stage production of Romeo & Juliet at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London, and Robert Icke is directing.

I’m so excited! Brendan Fraser, who was amazing in The Whale and is even joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie next year, is going to be acting alongside Noah Jupe – you know, from A Quiet Place – in a production of Romeo and Juliet. It’s going to be a fantastic take on that classic story!

The show will run from March 16th to June 6th next year, and tickets are available for purchase starting today, November 19th, at 10am.

This role is a dream come true for Sink, who always hoped to perform in London’s West End. As she told The Hollywood Reporter, she grew up loving Broadway and wanted to bring that same magic to the West End stage.

Working on one of Shakespeare’s most well-known plays, directed by Rob and alongside Noah, is going to be a really thrilling experience. The theater scene in London is amazing, and I’m so excited to be involved.

Jupe shared that he’s always found theatre fascinating. He believes acting is both difficult and fulfilling, which is why he was thrilled to learn about this particular project.

“The combination of Romeo, Rob and Sadie is an opportunity you simply cannot turn down.”

Recently winning an Olivier Award for his production of Oedipus starring Lesley Manville and Mark Strong, Icke shared his enthusiasm for revisiting the play. He said he’s excited to direct it in London with two talented young actors.

This play is incredibly powerful and full of energy. It really makes you think about how precious and fleeting life is, and how important it is to make the most of every moment. I’m really excited to begin working on it.

Tickets for Romeo & Juliet are available starting at 10am today from LOVEtheatre. The first part of Stranger Things season 5 will be released on November 25th, followed by part 2 on December 25th, and the final part on December 31st.
