Stranger Things season 5 shares new cast photos
As a fan who’s been through the Upside Down with the Hawkins crew since 2016, the latest sneak peek into Stranger Things 5 feels like a long-awaited reunion with old friends. The cafeteria shot of Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and Will brings back memories of our shared teenage angst and supernatural battles. The title of episode 2, “The Vanishing of”, has my heart racing, hinting at another character possibly going missing – let’s hope it’s not Steve this time!
Netflix commemorates “Stranger Things” Day annually on the day when Will Byers vanished in Season 1, by releasing new cast images directly from the set of the fifth and concluding episode.
On Instagram, the official account for the series shared four photos, one of which featured the four main characters Mike Wheeler (played by Finn Wolfhard), Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin) and Will (Noah Schnapp) sitting in the Hawkins High School cafeteria.
“Happy Stranger Things Day from the set of ST5!” the caption read.
As a devoted fan, I couldn’t help but share this exciting post! It includes snaps of David Harbour and Winona Ryder taking a break during filming, making the set feel even more like home. Additionally, there’s a photo of Matarazzo as Dustin posing with his co-stars Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers), and Joe Keery (Steve Harrington). The camaraderie among these Stranger Things stars is truly heartwarming!
Today, it was announced earlier that season 5 of Netflix’s show is set in the year 1987, and they also unveiled the names of the eight upcoming episodes. Here they are:
- The Crawl
- The Vanishing of
- The Turnbow Trap
- Sorcerer
- Shock Jock
- Escape from Camazotz – death bat or god of death
- The Bridge
- The Rightside Up
As I dived into the latest episode of this gripping series, one intriguing detail stood out – an enigmatic blank space where a character’s name usually resides on the episode title of number two. This mysterious omission has me wondering if our beloved character might be in peril or perhaps, gone missing altogether. Can’t wait to see what unfolds next!
As episode 6’s title includes Camazotz, a term meaning ‘death bat’ in Guatemala’s Kʼiche’ Mayan language, it appears we may be confronted once more with the Demobats from season 4 – a return that has left a lasting pain due to the death of Eddie Munson, our cherished newcomer.
Unfortunately, it seems Eddie won’t be joining us for the final episode, but the upcoming seasons are anticipated to deliver some powerful emotions following a thrilling season 4 cliffhanger.
In the most recent installment, Max Mayfield (played by Sadie Sink) was found unconscious in a hospital following an intense confrontation with the villainous Vecna (portrayed by Jamie Campbell-Bower). This leaves us wondering about Max’s future.
Seasons 1-4 of Stranger Things can be streamed on Netflix currently.
