Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard praises “mentor” Jesse Eisenberg
Finn Wolfhard, who plays a key role in the popular series Stranger Things, recently commended his mentor Jesse Eisenberg for guiding him through the transition from acting to directing.
In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment, Wolfhard acknowledged that Eisenberg provided him with a wealth of guidance while he was directing the movie “Hell of a Summer.
I’m absolutely thrilled to share that the movie, which I collaborated on directing and writing alongside my fellow actor Billy Bryk, is now gracing screens across U.S. cinemas. Can’t wait for you all to see it!

In Eisenberg’s 2022 directorial first, “When You Finish Saving the World“, Wolfhard mentioned that the collaboration with Bryk left a lasting impression on him.
As a devoted admirer, I found it utterly captivating to observe him in action, speaking specifically about Eisenberg. What left an indelible impression on me was the carefree vibe he exuded on set and the lively atmosphere he cultivated. If we yearned for a moment of laughter or a playful interlude, he graciously provided us with both the opportunity and encouragement to do so.
Despite the film being mostly serious with some intense, dramatic moments, he aimed for it to still feel lighthearted and enjoyable.
According to Wolfhard, Eisenberg paid them a visit while they were filming their latest horror-comedy project, which centers around a masked killer preying upon summer camp counselors.
Wolfhard mentioned that there’s video of it recorded on a handheld camera somewhere. He was an incredible supporter of the film from the start, right through the early drafts. I recall him reading these scripts and genuinely enjoying them.
Currently, Wolfhard has shared his feelings about wrapping up the last season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. He mentioned, “I was quite sad about it ending since I can’t hang out with everyone anymore.
Then, a thought crosses your mind: ‘Ah, yet it gets shared and others can witness it too, offering a chance for us all to relive the experience together.’
Hell of a Summer is out now in cinemas in the US.
