Fans of Stranger Things are worried about Steve Harrington after seeing the latest trailer. The trailer offers a glimpse of the show’s final season, hinting at a big showdown between the characters and the villain, Vecna.
Despite all the excitement, some viewers have pointed out that Joe Keery’s character isn’t featured much in the trailers – although he does make a few quick appearances.
This has prompted speculation that Steve might die in the final episodes, with one YouTube commenter expressing concern over his limited appearance in the trailer, saying, “I’m worried about how little Steve is shown.”

Someone else warned against harming the new character, saying, “Don’t you touch him like what happened to Eddie Munson last season!” – a reference to Eddie’s tragic end.
Someone noticed Dustin hugging Steve, Nancy covered in blood, and it looks like Dustin is driving Steve’s car, which doesn’t seem like a good sign for Steve.

Of course, all of this could be a deliberate attempt to mislead us. While many believe Steve might die in the final season, a popular theory suggests he could actually fake his own death. You can find more theories here.
The Duffer brothers, creators of the show, have confirmed that Eddie Munson won’t be returning for the final season after his character died in season four.
Matt Duffer jokingly discussed Joe Quinn’s character’s fate, saying, ‘I love that Joe Quinn is toying with people! But no, he’s dead.’ He then clarified that Quinn is currently very busy with other projects. ‘Joe is so busy anyway that everyone should know he’s not coming back. He’s shot like five movies since! When would he have time to film Stranger Things? Sadly, he’s definitely gone.’

Ross Duffer has revealed that the upcoming final episodes will finally explain the mystery of the Upside Down.
He explained to Variety that they kept putting off a difficult conversation. ‘Every season we’d ask if it was time to talk, but we’d always decide to wait,’ he said. ‘Eventually, we realized we couldn’t avoid it any longer!’
Stranger Things seasons 1-4 are streaming on Netflix. Season five premieres on 26 November.
