Stranger Things Dominates the Charts Ahead of Long-Awaited Return

Viewers have enjoyed watching the characters from Hawkins, Indiana mature over the past nine years, since the show first came out in 2016. As the November 26th premiere of the fifth season of the popular Netflix series approaches, the dark fantasy show is gaining popularity on streaming platforms.

The popular series Stranger Things, currently scoring 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, has quickly climbed the Netflix charts. As of November 10th, it’s the 5th most-watched show in the U.S., jumping from 8th place in just one day, according to FlixPatrol. It’s also gaining traction worldwide, now ranking as the 8th most-watched show on Netflix globally.

The fifth and final season of the dark fantasy series is poised to be a landmark event. For the first time ever, Stranger Things will have a theatrical release. The two-hour finale will be shown in AMC and other cinemas on New Year’s Eve, the same day it becomes available on Netflix.

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things will be released in three parts. The first four episodes will be available shortly before Thanksgiving, followed by three more on December 25th, and a final two-episode conclusion on December 31st. Directing the episodes are some well-known names, including Frank Darabont (from The Walking Dead), Shawn Levy (who’s working on Deadpool & Wolverine), and the creators of Stranger Things, The Duffer Brothers.

2 Stars Will Join Season 5

Season 5 will feature both the returning main cast and a new addition: the talented actor, who will play Dr. Kay. According to Ross Duffer, the creator of Stranger Things, they enjoy casting actors who were popular in the 1980s, and they’ve been big fans of this particular actor, especially for her iconic role as Sarah Connor in The Terminator. They described Sarah Connor as a strong and impressive character.

She believes she’s just as smart as Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine), the character she’s taking over the role of. Duffer also pointed out that, with all due respect to Modine and Paul Reiser, she has the added ability to handle firearms and engage in physical combat.

Nell Fisher will be joining the cast for Season 5. According to Matt Duffer, she wasn’t originally planned to be in the season, but they decided to bring her on to recapture the feel of the show’s first season. Because the current child characters have aged, they needed to cast a younger actor to play a new child character.

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things will start streaming on Netflix November 26th. You can watch the first four seasons anytime now.
