Stranger Things Creator Teases ‘Far Darker’ Season 5 Vol. 2 Details

Ross Duffer, one of the creators of Stranger Things, has hinted that the second part of Season 5 will be even more intense and darker than what viewers have seen before. With the series coming to an end, his comments have gotten fans very excited.

Here’s what Duffer said about Stranger Things Season 5 Vol 2.

Ross Duffer says Episode 6 is the ‘biggest episode’ of Stranger Things Season 5 Vol. 2

Ross Duffer, one of the creators of Stranger Things, has announced that the final three episodes of Season 5 will be released on Christmas Day. He shared on Instagram that these episodes – titled Chapters Five, Six, and Seven – are now fully completed, including all editing, music, and visual effects. He confirmed that all post-production work on Volume 2 is finished.

So, the Duffer brothers filled me in on Episode 5, ‘Shock Jock,’ and it picks up right where ‘Sorcerer’ left off. Apparently, Frank Darabont directed it, and he really switched gears this time. He did ‘Turnbow Trap’ before, which was great, but this one? They said it’s way darker and honestly, a lot scarier.

Duffer Brothers also singled out Episode 6, “Escape From Camazotz,” which was directed by Shawn Levy. They explained that the actors’ performances in this episode consistently have a strong emotional impact on the creative team. “It’s the most ambitious episode we’ve done so far—and the performances never fail to make us cry,” Duffer wrote.

The second-to-last episode of the season, titled “The Bridge…,” was directed by Ross and Matt Duffer, along with Shawn Levy. Ross Duffer shared that while he didn’t want to reveal any details about the plot, this episode is particularly moving. He described it as the most emotional episode of the season, aside from the finale.

The creator concluded with, “It’s gonna be a long six day wait for the finale…”

The first part of Stranger Things Season 5 is now available on Netflix, and the second part will be released on December 25th.
