The team that wins the ESL Pro League Season 23 Finals will earn a point in the ESL Grand Slam competition.
ESL FACEIT Group has confirmed that the final matches of the ESL Pro League Season 23 will be held in Stockholm, Sweden in 2026. This Counter-Strike 2 tournament will bring together the best teams in a live competition at the Annexet arena. The winning team will earn points towards the ESL Grand Slam, a prestigious competition with a $1,000,000 prize!
ESL Pro League Season 23 Finals
I’m so hyped for the EPL Season 23 Finals! It all kicks off on March 13th and wraps up on the 15th. Eight teams are going head-to-head in a single-elimination bracket, so every match matters. All the games will be best-of-three, but the grand final? That’s going to be a best-of-five showdown, which should be epic!
The tournament will feature a $275,000 prize pool, with the largest portion going to the winning team. CS2 teams will be competing for both the EPL Season 23 trophy and a valuable point that counts towards the ESL Grand Slam.
What’s the ESL Grand Slam?
The ESL Grand Slam is a $1,000,000 prize awarded to the first Counter-Strike 2 team that wins four major tournaments. With the EPL Season 23 Finals being one of those major events, teams will be competing fiercely to earn the reward.
As of today, three teams have secured points in the competition. Team Vitality won at both IEM Dallas 2025 and the EPL Season 22 Finals, Team Spirit took first place at IEM Cologne 2025, and FURIA won the IEM Chengdu 2025 tournament.
EPL returns to Stockholm
One of the most exciting parts of the EPL Season 23 Finals is that it’s coming back to Stockholm. It will be the first time fans have been able to gather in person since 2019, and Stockholm is a fitting choice given its strong connection to the Counter-Strike series.
The road to the EPL Season 23 Finals kicks off on February 27th with 24 Counter-Strike 2 teams competing. The first two stages of the competition will be played online, culminating in a live final event in Stockholm.
ESL Pro League Season 24 heads to Katowice
EFG announced earlier this year that the finals for EPL Season 24 will be held in Katowice, Poland. The event will take place at the Spodek Arena from October 9th to 11th.
