Sting’s Daughter, 41, Engaged After 3-Year Divorce!

Music legend Sting and his wife Trudie Styler are celebrating some very happy news in the family.

This joyous occasion comes three years after the conclusion of her marriage with tech mogul Chris Kantrowitz. The journey since then has been a testament to her resilience and grace, making this engagement all the more heartwarming.

41-year-old actress Mickey recently announced her engagement to Carter B Smith via a social media post. This actress is known for roles in The Marriage Story with Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver, as well as Battle of the Sexes alongside Emma Stone and Steve Carrell.

I’ve had feelings for you since 2007, and I’m eager to become your wife, @carterbsmith. Here’s to our love ❤️,” (She wrote this as a caption)

She added numerous charming photographs of the joyful pair, among them was one capturing them kissing on the sandy shore.

Actor Justin Theroux, who recently got married to actress Nicole Brydon Bloom (at their wedding this past week), responded to the post by using three clapping emojis and one red heart emoji.

Her aunt, Heather Styler (who is my mother Trudie’s sibling), conveyed: ‘I am overjoyed beyond words for you, dear Mickey.’

Born in London and now living in Los Angeles, Mickey has been dating Carter for a couple of years. 

As a connoisseur of visual storytelling, I’ve had the privilege of capturing the essence of some truly iconic artists on film, such as Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Lou Reed, Martin Luther, and Iggy Pop.

Mickey filed for divorce from her first husband, Chris, after four year of marriage.

They have a five-year-old son, Akira Rogue Kantrowitz, who was born on New Year’s Eve in 2016.

The actress tied the knot with gaming entrepreneur Kantrowitz in Tuscany in July 2017. 

In April 2021, Mickey shared insights on the journey of raising her child Akira, who was born with undetermined developmental challenges that medical professionals found difficult to diagnose.

She penned a piece on Romper.com discussing the experience of bringing up her prematurely born son, disclosing that he arrived two weeks ahead of schedule during childbirth.

Currently, Akira is unable to speak, isn’t walking, experiences hearing difficulties in both ears, has low muscle tone, and has overall developmental delays, as explained by Sumner.

She shared that her journey into motherhood has been an emotional ride, filled with ups and downs, and even some struggles with mental health. Specifically, she’s been dealing with postpartum anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Additionally, she disclosed that her firstborn arrived at her father Sting’s home in Malibu. However, complications during delivery necessitated a quick transfer to the hospital.

Mickey kicked off her acting journey back in 2006, and by 2008 and 2009, she had secured minor parts in the films ‘Last Chance Harvey’ and ‘Black Water Transit’.

In 2011, she secured the part of Francesca in the Showtime series The Borgias, a move that subsequently opened doors for her in movies like Frances Ha (2012).

The actress could then be seen on the TNT series Snowpiercer, where she plays Bess Till.
