As an avid follower of all things glamorous and star-studded, I must say that this private birthday bash at Catalina was nothing short of a spectacle! The 300-strong guest list, featuring entertainment gurus, beauty mavens, and retired news directors, truly embodied the essence of Sydney style.

On Thursday night, Richard Wilkins and his celebrity makeup artist partner headlined the red carpet event for Catalina’s exclusive celebrity birthday party in Rose Bay.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I learned that I had been invited to the exclusive soiree at the renowned dining establishment. This wasn’t just any gathering; it was an affair for the esteemed friends, high-profile VIPs, and valued clients of this prestigious venue!

According to the invitation, we need a specific combination to celebrate the milestone with authentic Sydney flair. This requires the attendance of one well-known figure in entertainment, the founder of McO Beauty, and a recently retired news director from Channel Seven.

Channel Nine’s 70-year-old host and his 47-year-old companion were seen strolling side by side, linked at the hands, heading towards the media barrier to pose for a photograph.

Richard sported a stylish mix-and-match outfit consisting of black slim-fit jeans, a black top, and a black jacket, completed with a pair of suede RM Williams boots.

As I gazed upon Mia, rumored to be his new love interest since the beginning of this year, she radiated a sun-kissed glow in her chic little black dress with spaghetti straps and a coordinating cardigan, making my heart skip a beat.

The makeup artist to the stars made a bright red lip the focal point of her tonal ensemble.

In the thrill of the moment, I couldn’t help but wrap my arm affectionately around her shoulder as we posed for the picture. My grin stretched from ear to ear, while she playfully puckered her lips in a captivating way for the camera lens.

I’ve become the trusted makeup artist for several prominent ladies in Sydney, among them are Sonia Kruger, Rachael Finch – a renowned fitness influencer, Jessica Rowe, and Kate Waterhouse. It was Sonia who introduced us, as far as I know.

Daily Mail Australia understands that restaurant owners James and Kate McMahon shut down the restaurant for the entire evening to treat their hand-selected guests to ‘free flowing Veuve Cliquot’ and plentiful limoncello and Tommy’s margarita cocktails — with the guests also downing more than 500 oysters throughout the night. 

Fireworks were set off across Sydney’s harbour and there was also a private performances by DJs and Australian musicians. 

In a heartfelt speech, Judy McMahon, the director of Catalina, expressed her gratitude for being able to celebrate this special occasion alongside our remarkable clients and friends, who have stood by us through thick and thin.

‘We couldn’t be prouder of where Catalina is today, and the honestly, the best is yet to come.’

At the event, we also had some notable attendees who embodied the charm of the ‘eastern suburbs’, as suggested by the party invitation. These included social influencer Nadia Fairfax-Wayne, television personality Monika Tu from Luxe Listings Sydney, beauty mogul Shelley Sullivan of MCo Beauty, and Michael Coombes.
