Steven Knight confirms exciting Peaky Blinders news as he teases “incredible” movie
The creator of “Peaky Blinders,” Steven Knight, recently announced some thrilling updates, assuring fans that the “universe of Peaky Blinders” will persist following the release of the forthcoming film.
In simpler terms, the movie on Netflix, called “The Immortal Man“, is going to continue the storyline from the final episode of the sixth season of a popular TV show, focusing mainly on the Shelby family during World War II.
This morning on BBC Breakfast, Knight expressed his viewpoint that the forthcoming movie appears “outstanding” and will serve as an ideal conclusion to this chapter in the “Peaky Blinders” saga.
When questioned about his statement “this part” by presenters Jon Kay and Sarah Campbell, Knight clarified: “It’s still not finished, if you will. I can’t reveal it… but what I’m hinting at is that the world of ‘Peaky Blinders’ will persist.
Although he didn’t explicitly say if it’s about another Peaky movie or a spin-off show, this news undoubtedly excites fans who met the Shelby clan for the first time in 2013.
Just last month, viewers got a sneak peek at the making of The Immortal Man, since the production finished shooting.
In a fresh update, we find Cillian Murphy reprising his legendary role as Tommy Shelby, joined by new arrival Barry Keoghan on the set. The two actors are captured in a friendly moment, beaming at each other in the photo.
Besides Keoghan, other fresh faces joining the cast in the movie are Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, and Jay Lycurgo. At this point, specific details about what roles they’ll be playing are being withheld.
Among the familiar faces rejoining the cast are Stephen Graham playing Hayden Stagg, Sophie Rundle taking up the role of Ada Thorne, Ned Dennehy portraying Charlie Strong, Packy Lee as Johnny Dogs, and Ian Peck in the character of Curly.
Previously, Keoghan hinted that fans should expect something extraordinary, expressing in a November interview with Josh Horowitz: “I went through the script, and it’s immense. It’s incredibly impressive.
The Immortal Man does not yet have a release date.
