Iconic Australian dance music festival, Stereosonic, is back in a new guise.
Richie McNeill, a founder of Stereosonic, plans to introduce Hypersonic – the anticipated follow-up to the successful festival he created.
The celebration is scheduled to take place at the Sydney Showground on November 29, followed by a stop at the Melbourne Showground on November 30.
This week, social media platforms associated with Hypersonic have been hinting at its comeback, labeling it as a ‘pioneering cross-genre’ occasion.
Featured on the lineup are Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, and Steve Aoki, along with several other notable artists.
As a lifestyle aficionado, I’m thrilled to share that the presale for those sought-after tickets begins at high noon on August 21st! And General tickets will be available starting from August 22nd. Prices kick off at an affordable $169.96. So mark your calendars and get ready to secure your spot for an unforgettable experience!

In 2016, Stereosonic, a music festival that started in 2007, ceased operations following the filing for bankruptcy by its American parent company, SFX Entertainment, in the same year.
Simultaneously, an evocative image of a festival-goer closely tied to the Stereosonic music festival reappeared in the media, coinciding with reports of the event’s comeback.
As a wellness advocate and fitness enthusiast, I find myself proudly showcasing my toned physique at a lively dance event, just like the inspiring Sydney-based bodybuilder and influencer Aziz Sergeyvich does.
In Thailand, back in 2011, a young man named Sergeyvich, who was popularly known by his nickname Zyzz, unexpectedly passed away due to a heart attack, during a visit to a sauna at the age of 22.
In the photo, Zyzz can be seen posing with friends in front of a stage.
With one hand around a bikini-clad girl, the fit raver can be seen flexing his bulging right bicep.
Zyzz came to be known for his association with ‘Muzz’ dancing, a lively dance style on the dancefloor that gained popularity among enthusiasts of the electronic music genre showcased at Stereosonic events.
Muzzing features fluid upper body movement and arm gestures rather than fancy footwork.

For each passing year since Zyzz’s demise, the cultural milieu I was accustomed to seems to be gradually disappearing, as expressed by a dedicated fan in a tribute article published on Vice in 2017.
‘The Muzz dance is probably the last remaining echo of Zyzz’s influence on hectic Muzza culture.
At numerous video productions, he consistently featured a popular element that he mastered and promoted within the community. He showcased this expertise and fostered interest at all major local music events such as Defqon, Stereosonic, and Two Tribes.
Originating from Russia, Zyzz relocated to Australia alongside his family during the 1990s. He showcased academic prowess and had a keen interest in subjects related to commerce and business.
He slowly rose to fame by sharing videos of himself and his workouts on YouTube in 2007.
Prior to his death, he accumulated approximately 60,000 followers on Facebook, created a line of clothing, a brand of protein supplements, and authored a book titled “The Bodybuilding Bible by Zyzz”.
He was also considered to be one of the very first social media influencers.

Prior to departing on his unfortunate journey to Thailand in July 2011, he posed a question to his circle, “Leaving for Thailand next month, any travel advice for fellow wanderers…
Two days before his passing, his final post read, ‘A year ago, I weighed 10kg less. Now, I’m at about 100kg (90kg in my current estimation). This weight seems to be the ideal for women… Achieving Arnold Schwarzenegger’s status here I am!’
Zyzz was found dead in early August after having a heart attack in a sauna.
In 2021, on the 10th anniversary of his passing, numerous followers of Zyzz honored him by sharing tribute videos, photos, and posts across social media platforms and fan websites.
As an ardent admirer, I eagerly posted images of the inspirational bodybuilder and even my own workout progress, spurred on by the fitness icon’s influence. This social media star consistently emphasized the significance of maintaining a fit physique and looking one’s best.
