Steps star Faye Tozer admits ‘cheating like the rest of them’ as she reveals she has tweakments to maintain her youthful looks at 50

Steps singer Faye Tozer has confessed to having cosmetic procedures, admitting she’s had ‘tweakments’ to stay looking young at age 50, just like many others.

The singer, who’s had Morpheus8 in the past, revealed in an interview with The Mirror that she gets a series of treatments to achieve her glowing skin.

Morpheus8 is a skin treatment that uses tiny needles and radiofrequency energy to firm and rejuvenate the skin.

She admitted to using cosmetic procedures, saying she’s no different than anyone else who does. She was honest about having ‘tweakments’ and doesn’t deny getting them.

‘It makes me feel good; I don’t do it for anybody else apart from myself.’

Just before Christmas last year, news surfaced that the so-called ‘Strictly curse’ had affected Faye, leading to a breakup with her husband, Mick Smith, and causing her to leave their home in South Tyneside.

In her first television appearance since announcing their separation in May, Faye didn’t talk about her relationship, even after a puzzling social media post led to concerns about her husband and their 16-year marriage.

When contacted by the Daily Mail, the businessman stated, ‘We’re dealing with some personal issues and attempting to resolve them. I have no further comment at this time.’

Faye often playfully referred to herself as ‘Mrs. Smith’ and affectionately described her younger friend, Michael (known as Mick), as her ‘husband, her rock, her best friend, and partner in fun.’

The post read: ‘I met you when I was not looking for you and lost when I loved you the most.’

The next day, he posted a photo of Banksy’s well-known broken heart artwork, which had a ‘closed for repairs’ sign attached to it.

Honestly, it’s just really heartbreaking. She was on Strictly Come Dancing years ago, and we were all a little worried, you know? There’s this whole thing about the show – people jokingly call it the ‘curse’ – because so many contestants have sadly seen their relationships end shortly after being on the program. It’s always a concern when someone goes on, and it’s just so sad to see it happen.

You know, I’ve seen a lot of couples, and Faye and Mick always seemed to handle challenges with grace. They actually appeared to grow closer after difficult times, which is wonderful to witness. Honestly, from the outside looking in, they felt like a truly rock-solid pair – that’s what made Faye’s eventual departure so shocking.

It came as a complete surprise. They were always such kind and pleasant people, so it’s really sad to see what’s happened.

A neighbor mentioned that Faye and Michael had stopped doing the activities they used to enjoy together in the area.

They were frequent visitors to our local pub, often seen there together. We also often saw them walking their two dogs around the village, and they always seemed happy.

It’s been months since I’ve seen Faye around, and honestly, it hit me – she must have moved. We all started to realize it, you know? It’s just… she’s gone from the neighborhood, and it’s been so strange without her.

People began to express concern for Michael after noticing his posts on social media. He shared a picture of a broken heart with a ‘closed for repairs’ message, along with a very sad caption.

‘If the marriage is in trouble, it’s really sad as they were such a great couple.’

Faye and Michael, who have a son together, got married at Beamish Hall in County Durham in December 2009. They managed to avoid the rumored relationship issues often associated with the show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ when Faye was a contestant in 2018, paired with Giovanni Pernice.

Steps quickly became popular after forming in 1997, releasing several huge hits like “Tragedy,” “5, 6, 7, 8,” and “Deeper Shade Of Blue.” The group split up in 2001.

The group got back together in 2011 and once more in 2017 to mark their 20th anniversary. They followed this up with their fifth album, Tears on the Dancefloor.

Last year, the group revealed they were developing a musical featuring their most popular songs.

Shaun Kitchener wrote ‘Here & Now,’ and the band produced it with help from the theatre company ROYO and music producer Pete Waterman.

The band announced the project back in January of last year, explaining that fans always ask about a Steps musical. Now, it’s happening, and they are thrilled!

We were looking for a story to inspire our music, and we found it with four friends experiencing a memorable summer romance by the sea, all starting in a typical supermarket.

Get ready for a heartwarming story about friends, love, and the power of community! This show features all your favorite songs and is guaranteed to be a night of laughter, tears, and dancing. We’re so excited to welcome you this year!

The announcement caused a huge fan reaction, with one person jokingly posting on X (formerly Twitter) that missing out on tickets would be a ‘Tragedy’.

This musical is similar to popular shows like Greatest Days (based on Take That’s music) and Mamma Mia (the fifth longest-running show in London’s West End), which both use existing song catalogs.
