Critics have shared their first reactions to the new series, and early reviews show a general consensus about this latest adaptation of Stephen King’s work. The show’s initial Rotten Tomatoes score is now available.
Currently, after 24 reviews, It: Welcome to Derry has a 79% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. While that’s a bit lower than the original It movie’s 85% (which was certified fresh), it’s higher than the 62% score of It Chapter Two. It also performs better than the 1990 miniseries, Stephen King’s It, which has a 67% rating.
