Stephen King movie The Long Walk casts Pretty Little Liars: Summer School star
As a huge fan of Stephen King’s works, I’m beyond excited to hear that Lionsgate is bringing his early novel “The Long Walk” to the big screen! The recent casting announcements have only fueled my anticipation, especially with the addition of Jordan Gonzalez, an actor I’ve grown fond of from his roles in “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin” and “Summer School.”
Lionsgate is working on bringing Stephen King’s early novel “The Long Walk” to the big screen. Recently, they revealed several fresh faces joining the film’s cast. Among them is Jordan Gonzalez, known for his roles in “Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin” and “Summer School.”
In addition to Gonzalez, Deadline reveals that the film will feature Philip Seymour Hoffman’s son Cooper Hoffman (“Licorice Pizza”), David Jonsson (“Industry”), Garrett Wareing (“Ransom Canyon”), Tut Nyuot (“The Witcher: Blood Origin”), Charlie Plummer (“Looking for Alaska”), Ben Wang (“Mean Girls”), and Joshua Odjick (“The Swarm”). The specific roles of these actors, however, are still undisclosed. Notably, Odjick is also slated to appear in another Stephen King adaptation, the HBO series “Welcome to Derry,” based on the “It” prequel.

Pretty Little Liars hasn’t been granted a third season just yet, but should it be renewed, filming for The Long Walk likely wouldn’t keep Gonzalez from making an appearance.
In a dystopian society governed by a totalitarian regime, Stephen King wrote a novel under the alias Richard Bachmann, titled “The Long Walk“. This story introduces an unusual form of amusement for this oppressive world: the “Long Walk”.
Annual event “The Long Walk”: 100 teenage boys participate, required to walk continuously at a pace above 4 miles per hour. Failure to maintain speed results in warnings; three warnings lead to fatal consequence: execution by supervising soldiers.
Suitably, Francis Lawrence will helm the film director’s role. He is renowned for his work on several movies in the acclaimed YA dystopian series, “The Hunger Games,” including the latest prequel, “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.” Filming has commenced and will carry on through the rest of the summer.
