Stephen Graham “steals the show” in “gripping and twisted” British thriller

The new British thriller, *Good Boy*, featuring Stephen Graham and Andrea Riseborough, is getting early reviews, and Andrea Riseborough’s performance is already receiving praise.

The new movie, which is different from a horror film with a similar name, centers on Tommy (Anson Boon), a rebellious teenager who leads a gang and likes causing trouble. Things change for Tommy when he’s unexpectedly kidnapped by Chris (Graham) while planning his next scheme.

Tommy ends up trapped in a basement and is subjected to a strange situation by Chris and his wife, Kathryn Riseborough. They force him to confront his past crimes and try to earn their approval by behaving well – essentially, to make amends for what he’s done.

This strange but beautifully crafted story, reminiscent of gothic tales, offers a hopeful message: even in the most difficult circumstances, healing is possible, and genuine liberation comes from trusting others.
