Last month, a first glimpse of Murphy resuming his character, Tommy Shelby, was unveiled as production for the upcoming film officially started.

Creator Steven Knight will be back to write the screenplay, while Tom Harper is set to direct.

The filmmaker has additionally verified that the storyline takes place amidst World War II, hinting: “Just as the nation is embroiled in conflict, naturally, so too will be our Peaky Blinders.
