Steph McGovern reveals “painful” injury in health update after accident

Steph McGovern has revealed a “painful” injury after suffering a fall on ice.

On January 21st, the presenter posted on Instagram about an incident from the previous week. She had fallen outside her front door and sustained a broken arm, which she described as the most agonizing experience she has ever endured.

In the video, titled “BREAKING NEWS”, she shared some recent updates. It turns out that last Friday, she fell on an icy surface, landed hard, and unfortunately fractured her arm.

If you have a low tolerance for graphic details, it might be best to skip ahead, but in essence, I fractured the upper part of my arm in half. It was arguably the most excruciating experience I’ve ever had, solely due to a fall caused by slipping on the ice.

Later, she likened the situation to her upcoming adventure on the Netflix reality series titled “Celebrity Bear Hunt,” where she will be venturing through the dense Central American jungle.

Steph explained, ‘What you’re going to witness is far beyond what I experienced on the Bear Hunt, yet it was simply stepping out my front door that resulted in a fracture of both my arms.'”

Or, for a more colloquial version:

“Steph put it this way, ‘Walking outside my door turned out to be way scarier than the Bear Hunt, but let me tell you, it was that same walk that gave me a double arm fracture!’

She went on to disclose that she’ll likely wear her sling for a minimum of five to six more weeks, followed by expressing appreciation for the care she got from the National Health Service (NHS).

The celebrity added, “Indeed, I received excellent care from the NHS. I even had a brief stay in the emergency room, as one often does. I must say, they were outstanding, and I can’t find any flaws in their service at all. But yes, I’m on a lengthy road to recovery! And it’s my dominant right arm that was affected.

In an updated Instagram post featuring her sling, Steph made a humorous remark saying, “Here’s my latest pair of companions – Barry, the brace, and Susie, the sling. They’ve become quite close lately.

She additionally commended her exceptional NHS surgeon in a subsequent post, mentioning, “I expect everything to be all right within the next two months.

Since then, the star has been greeted with well-wishing messages from fans in the comments. One wrote: “Quick recovery, Steph,” while another chimed in: “Wishing you a speedy recovery, dear.

Gosh, Steph, that seems really uncomfortable.” A third commented. “I’m grateful for the NHS in times like these. Some people sure go to great lengths to avoid doing chores like ironing!
