Stellar Blade 2 is Being Developed by Shift Up
In their latest financial report, Shift Up has confirmed that they’re currently working on a sequel to Stellar Blade, which was originally slated for 2024. Not long after the game’s launch, Shift Up expressed interest in creating a sequel, and it seems now, production gears are definitely in motion.

We’re currently working on expanding the ‘Stellar Blade’ brand through franchise development, and we’re also creating a new game in the series as a follow-up to ‘Stellar Blade’.
In the upcoming installment, we’ll carry forward the high-action essence of ‘Stellar Blade’, enriching it with a broader perspective and improved game mechanics. This should help cement its status as a renowned franchise, potentially leading to even more acclaim than the initial release.
This year, Stellar Blade experienced unprecedented success, as Shift Up made its debut on PC. The game’s popularity surged so much that it managed to reach one million sales within the platform in merely a fraction of the time it took upon its initial release on PlayStation 5.
It was previously mentioned this year that there’s an aim to unveil a sequel to Stellar Blade by 2027, which means we won’t have to hold our breath for too much longer. Moreover, Shift Up is contemplating bringing the original Stellar Blade game to Switch 2 as a port.
Among the games released in 2024, Stellar Blade stood out as a personal favorite, an unexpected choice given my preference for different genres. However, this game drew me in with its captivating post-apocalyptic atmosphere, manageable boss battles, and an engaging storyline – particularly the storyline.
