Stellar Blade 2 Seemingly Won’t Be PlayStation Exclusive

Okay, so Stellar Blade was a huge hit on PS5 and PC, and honestly, everyone knew a sequel was coming. I saw a presentation where the developers, Shift Up, said they’re aiming to get Stellar Blade 2 out before 2027, which is awesome! No exact date yet, but at least we have a timeframe now.

The sequel to the popular game Stellar Blade is in development and will likely be released on multiple gaming systems. A recent job posting from developer Shift Up indicates Stellar Blade 2 is a large-scale, high-quality action game that continues the story and universe of the original, and it seems the already passionate fanbase is about to grow even larger.

The game is planned for release on consoles and PC. It will build on the popular style and story-focused world of the original game, offering an improved and more exciting action experience.

There were reports that the first Stellar Blade game might come to the next Nintendo Switch, and that the developers, Shift Up, had received development kits for the system. If that happens, it’s likely Stellar Blade 2 could also be released on platforms other than PlayStation or PC. Regardless, fans probably aren’t ready for what Stellar Blade 2 will bring.

Things Got Mighty Raunchy With The First Stellar Blade

Stellar Blade quickly became the most popular PlayStation game to be released on PC when it launched in early June, attracting over 190,000 players almost immediately. As expected, the game soon saw a surge of adult-themed modifications, including mods that remove character clothing.

Stellar Blade quickly surpassed Nier Automata in the number of adult-themed modifications created by players. Interestingly, the two games had a crossover event where some players tried to exploit the game to view Eve in a compromising position. Beyond the game itself, the official Stellar Blade Twitter account was also caught sharing inappropriate fan art.

As we mentioned earlier, a version of Stellar Blade for multiple platforms isn’t currently feasible, but it’s still a strong possibility for the future.
