I’m really into Stella Sora, and it’s a tactical RPG where just having strong characters isn’t enough – you have to build a team that works well together. Seriously, even my best units can’t carry me if the team’s unbalanced. That’s why I was so excited to find this Stella Sora Team Composition Guide – it’s helping me figure out how to make the perfect squad!
This guide will show you how to create strong teams in Stella Sora that can succeed in all game modes, from story missions and events to challenging PvE and PvP battles. How team roles work in Stella Sora
Okay, so in Stella Sora, building a team is actually way simpler than I thought! Instead of juggling a whole party, you basically build three-person squads. There’s your ‘Main Trekker’ – that’s who you directly control during battles. Then you’ve got two ‘Support Trekkers’ who hang back and help out. You can still use their skills and ultimates, even though you’re not controlling them directly. Honestly, figuring out who goes where is the key to making a really effective team. It’s made a huge difference for me!

Main Trekker
The Main Trekker is the central unit in every Stella Sora team. You directly control this character in battle, and it’s responsible for dealing most of the damage, dodging attacks, and performing skill combinations. Essentially, everything you see happening in combat – from simple attacks to complex skill chains and powerful ultimate moves – comes from your Main Trekker’s abilities.
Picking your main character shouldn’t be a decision you make lightly. Choose the one whose playstyle feels most comfortable and natural, as you’ll depend on them for accurate timing, effective attacks, and staying alive. Your main character is usually your main source of damage and the foundation of your overall strategy.
Support Trekker
In Stella Sora, the Support Trekkers are just as important as your main character, but they play a different role. They mostly stay off the battlefield, but their help is crucial at key times. Instead of directly fighting, Support Trekkers use special abilities called Support Skills and Support Ultimates that you activate at the right moments during a battle.
Characters can have a variety of skills, like healing, boosting allies, weakening enemies, summoning helpers, or even dealing damage from a distance. The goal isn’t to have a Support character that does the same thing as your main character, but rather to complement and strengthen what they already do. A good Support character can significantly improve even an average Main character, making them feel incredibly powerful.
For example, a Support character who can heal or protect allies can help an aggressive damage dealer survive dangerous attacks. Alternatively, a Support with abilities that complement the damage dealer’s elements or increase their critical hit chance can significantly boost the team’s overall damage output.
Examples of Team Composition in Stella Sora
1. Aqua Team Comp
Chitose (Main) / Freesia (Support) / Teresa (Support)
This team works really well if you want a dependable group that can control enemies, stay alive for a long time, and deal a lot of damage with elemental reactions. It’s best for steadily completing levels, farming resources, and tackling the early and middle parts of the game where consistent, reliable performance is more important than quickly defeating enemies.

Chitose is the main damage dealer, excelling in close combat and slowing enemies to control the battlefield and lessen the damage your team takes. Freesia and Teresa work well with Chitose, boosting her water-based attacks and making her freeze effects even stronger. Teresa also keeps the team alive and protected with healing, shields, and abilities that improve how efficiently you collect resources during longer battles.
2. Ignis Team Comp
Amber (Main) / Chixia (Support) / Flora (Support)
If you want a team that deals a lot of damage quickly, with impressive combos and fast completion times, the Ignis composition is a great choice. It’s designed for powerful attacks and is ideal for boss battles, time-sensitive challenges, or any event where speed is crucial. Amber, as the main damage dealer, is incredibly mobile and can unleash devastating bursts of damage. Her quick attacks and fluid skill combinations make her perfect for players who enjoy a fast-paced, skillful playstyle.

She works really well with Chixia, whose skill deals a lot of burst damage, and Flora, who provides helpful off-field effects. Flora adds consistent fire damage and weakens enemies, making this team great for quickly defeating opponents.
3. Terra Team Comp
Gerie (Main)/ Ridge (Support)/ Nazuna (Support)
The Terra team is built for endurance and strong performance in the late game. It’s perfect for players facing tough bosses, long missions, or Monolith floors where surviving and consistently dealing damage are key. Gerie takes the lead as the main damage dealer, using her Vanguard abilities and powerful skills like Iron Cage and Lethal to gradually defeat enemies.

This character excels with a slow and steady playstyle – the longer a battle lasts, the more powerful she gets. She’s best supported by Ridge and Nazuna, two companions who really enhance her strengths. Ridge increases her defense and the power of her attacks, while Nazuna provides healing and defensive boosts, making the whole team incredibly resilient.
Final Thoughts
Building a good team in Stella Sora isn’t just about using your most powerful characters. It’s about creating a balance of different roles, elements, and how well your characters work together. Try out different combinations, see how characters complement each other, and adjust your team to overcome each challenge.
