Karl Stefanovic is currently in Las Vegas for the kick off to the NRL season.

On a Saturday evening, the host of Today, who is 50 years old, spent time socializing in the city with his wife Jasmine and their companions.

Jasmine posted a set of pictures on Instagram showing her group having a lovely meal at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, where it’s thought they are currently lodging.

In the picture, Karl gleamed with joy, embracing his friends, during their meal at the restaurant.

The nightly rates for rooms at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino begin at $514 and may reach as high as $2,242.50 for a luxury penthouse suite.

Following the disclosure by NRL chief Peter V’landys, it appears he desires for Karl to have a dedicated rugby league television program on Channel 9.

‘It’s so evident in Vegas how popular Karl is with the fans,’ V’landys told News Corp.

‘They love him,’ he added. 

‘I think he’s the perfect person to be an ambassador for rugby league on Channel 9.

I plan on discussing this matter with them, as they are our broadcast partner and express a keen interest in intensifying their efforts to publicize the game.

Karl is well-versed in rugby league, and having more television coverage for the sport will certainly contribute to its expansion.

After Karl dismissed the speculation that Samantha Armytage would replace Sarah Abo as his co-host on Today.

As a devoted devotee, I’d rather hang up my director’s hat on our beloved morning show than share the stage with another fresh co-host, as I shared recently in an interview with Stellar magazine.

He stated last month during a comprehensive interview that he doesn’t foresee Sarah being replaced, and honestly, he has no desire to collaborate with anyone else.

In December, it appears that Channel Nine had two urgent meetings in succession due to their choice of Sam, aged 48, temporarily replacing a co-host on the Today show during the summer months.

The action taken by the network caused strong disapproval from long-term employees, as some sources claim it led to conflict within the organization and made numerous individuals feel disrespected.

As a devoted admirer, I find myself compelled to express my thoughts about the remarkable transformation that took place on Today back in January 2023. The charismatic Armytage, aged 39, gracefully stepped into the shoes once filled by Ally Langdon. However, it seems that Karl has made it clear he’s content with where things stand and harbors no ambition to be a part of any future hosting re-branding endeavors.

For two decades, Karl has been a fixture on the morning program, witnessing numerous co-presenters such as Tracy Grimshaw, Jessica Rowe, and Lisa Wilkinson take their turn before moving on.
