State of Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s friendship after subpoena was withdrawn

Taylor Swift appears to be experiencing significant relief following the dismissal of the subpoena connected to Blake Lively’s legal case, yet it is important to note that this does not necessarily imply a reconciliation between them as former friends.

The famous pop star found themselves entangled in the conflict between actress Rachel Lively and director Justin Baldoni, related to the movie “It Ends With Us,” when legal documents submitted by Baldoni’s lawyers earlier this month claimed that Lively had been attempting to pressure Swift into publishing a public statement in support of her and encouraged her to delete messages exchanged between them.

The court filing asserted that Michael Gottlieb, representing Lively, had communicated with Swift’s lawyer and threatened to disclose her private, personal texts if Swift did not issue a statement backing Lively, implying that such support was expected.

Later on, Lively’s legal team submitted a request to the court, arguing that the allegations were unfounded, unnecessary, inappropriate, and excessive. Subsequently, the court granted Lively’s motion to discard Baldoni’s letter.

Currently, a source shares with Us Weekly that although Taylor Swift hasn’t spoken about the matter publicly, there appears to be no communication between her and Blake Lively since the subpoena was withdrawn. This silence seems to have put a halt on their previously tight friendship.

DailyMail.com have reached out to reps for Swift and Lively for comment.

The source states that there is a significant strain or disagreement in the friendship between them, which has led to a visible cooling of their relationship.

As a lifestyle expert, I can share with you that individuals may struggle to reconnect immediately due to the lingering effects of emotional baggage from their past experiences.

According to a source, Swift recently mentioned that the last few weeks have been quite stressful for her. However, it seems like she is currently feeling more upbeat and relaxed as the legal tension has lessened.

She’s made it ‘very clear she is feeling an immense sense of relief.’

According to the source, Taylor has shown great poise and hasn’t dwelled excessively on the matter. Instead, she’s chosen to move forward in her life.

The Us Weekly article emerged shortly following an exclusive tip-off to DailyMail.com, where it was stated that the artist has ended his relationship with Lively, as he perceived himself as having been taken advantage of.

This month, the singer received a subpoena in connection with Lively’s lawsuit, when Bryan Freedman, attorney for Baldoni, served her with a legal summons requesting her to appear as a witness.

Swift’s team contested the subpoena, stating that she had minimal participation in the on-set drama for the 2024 movie “It Ends With Us”.

‘Taylor Swift didn’t appear on the film set, nor did she have any role in the casting or creative decisions, and she didn’t compose the music for this movie.’

“She didn’t review or jot down comments about the movie before it was released to the public, and she only watched ‘It Ends With Us’ several weeks after its premiere. In 2023 and 2024, she was busy globe-trotting, headlining the most monumental tour ever recorded in history.

The representative pointed out that Taylor’s contribution to the movie consisted solely of using one of her songs, “My Tears Ricochet,” from her 2020 album, Folklore.

The document being served as a subpoena is intended to exploit Taylor Swift’s name for increased public attention, rather than delving into the actual details of the case, since she, like 19 other artists, licensed a song for the film.

Nevertheless, Justin’s legal team eventually retracted the subpoena, and an exclusive source explained to DailyMail.com the reason behind this action. The attorney decided to withdraw it because, as the source put it, ‘They obtained precisely what they were aiming for.’

On Friday, I was utterly thrilled when Taylor Swift announced she’s taken ownership of her entire music library! As a devoted fan, it feels like a dream come true to know she has full control over her musical legacy.

The buy-back agreement is said to be valued anywhere from $600 million to $1 billion, but TopMob’s sources claim that this figure is significantly inflated.

An anonymous source revealed to Billboard that the Grammy-winning artist managed to buy back control over her music catalog for approximately $360 million.

Travis Kelce, her boyfriend, subtly showed his backing for the singer after she hinted at some news on Instagram, as evidenced by him liking the post. This can also be phrased as: In response to the singer’s teaser on Instagram, Travis Kelce, her partner, gave a quiet display of support by liking the post.

In the year 2023, this romantic pairing was initially noticed, and more recently, they were seen enjoying a date night together at Harry’s Bar & Restaurant located in West Palm Beach.

According to a source, Taylor Swift left to visit Florida to offer assistance and spend quality time with the tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs.

‘Travis was working on Friday before his dinner date with Taylor. He left early to go meet her.’

Recently, Lively has been spotted socializing with some high-profile friends, and just last week, she dined out in New York City alongside the talented actress Salma Hayek.

Blake filed a sexual assault lawsuit against Justin towards the end of last year, specifically in December.

Baldoni took legal action by initiating two lawsuits: one for $400 million against Lively and her spouse, Ryan Reynolds, and another for $250 million against The New York Times.

All of the parties deny the allegations against them.

The legal battle is scheduled to go to court next year in March 2026.
