State of CoD triggers Nadeshot: “I can’t play it, I can’t enjoy it”

As a long-time Call of Duty fan, I must say I empathize with Nadeshot‘s frustrations. I remember the golden days of CoD when the gameplay was smooth, fair, and enjoyable. Now, it seems like we’re back to square one with cheaters, server issues, and bugs ruining the experience for many players, myself included.

Nadeshot thinks that Black Ops 6 has already been “marked” due to persistent problems inherent in Call of Duty, which he refers to as the franchise’s latest successor.

Despite expressing enthusiasm for Black Ops 6 as one of the top entries in the series, Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag plans to take extended breaks from streaming Call of Duty due to concerns about the team’s lack of action on matters of integrity and cheating within the game. This issue has been a persistent problem since the franchise shifted focus to multiplayer gaming.

Excessive cheating in first-person shooter games, particularly Black Ops 6, has become unbearable for Nadeshot, leading him to stream less of the game in the past month. He’s urging the development team to address the hacking problem more effectively, as he’s had enough.

Cheating, server tick rates, bugs keeping Nadeshot off BO6

During his December 16th stream, Nadeshot announced he would be taking extended breaks from playing Black Ops 6 due to frequent problems with the game’s integrity, causing enjoyable playtime to be rare. In response to viewers, he explained that when the game functioned correctly, he truly enjoyed it, but these instances were infrequent.

He stated that there’s no honesty in this, suggesting someone might be dishonest, the connection could be poor, or the game may have issues. Despite this, he won’t stop being a part of BO6, but playing it daily is out of question for him as he simply can’t find enjoyment in it enough.

Call of Duty (CoD) is more impressive and improved than ever before. The debut of Black Ops 6 marked the most successful launch in the series’ history, garnering praise for its enhancements to movement and multiplayer from a significant portion of the gaming community. Nevertheless, over time, opinions towards Black Ops 6 have grown less favorable as persistent problems associated with CoD have resurfaced.

A significant increase in cheating incidents is being observed, and although Activision has admitted that their anti-cheat system, RICOCHET, isn’t performing as well as desired, no concrete details have been disclosed beyond the Season Two update scheduled for early January.

Due to the persistent technical issues with the Black Ops 6 client, such as unresolved bugs, and the absence of up-to-date servers for ranked play, gamers like Nadeshot, along with many other Call of Duty enthusiasts, are facing challenges when trying to join and enjoy the game.

Nadeshot stated that at its heart, the game is entertaining due to aspects like movement, shooting, and certain foundational elements, yet despite this, he finds himself unable to engage with or truly appreciate it.

Nadeshot demands action now before it’s too late

Nadeshot expressed dissatisfaction over Activision delaying solutions to ongoing issues by extending them into subsequent seasons. It’s a tactic the company has used before; they’ve promised improved anti-cheat measures or fixes for later seasons, only to shift focus to a new game, leaving the previous one lacking in content.

Subsequently, the streamer criticized the server team, stating bluntly that from a network performance perspective, Call of Duty (CoD) has been serving subpar quality, due in large part to insufficient investment in faster tick rate servers. He further commented that there are no mechanisms in place to ensure a balanced gaming environment for players.

“They created an excellent game, but in an effort to boost profits for their shareholders, they sacrificed certain aspects without realizing or caring that people might notice. However, times have changed, and we can’t afford complacency. Call of Duty, let’s stay vigilant.

By the close of Season One, it’s anticipated that Black Ops 6’s player community will shrink significantly due to those frustrated with CoD leaving the series to wait for the next game release. Essentially, they feel that the game will become a ghost town within two months, despite simple improvements such as eliminating hackers and ensuring a smooth gaming experience on a 20-ping server not being implemented.

In conclusion, he mentioned that he plans to stream other games such as VALORANT and the newly launched Marvel Rivals.

It remains to be seen if Activision will change their approach; the upcoming RICOCHET update is not due for several more months, so unfortunately, it looks like gamers can anticipate the same problems with the game during this festive season.

Over the holiday season, Call of Duty (CoD) is likely to attract more players. However, it remains uncertain if a significant number of these newcomers will continue playing up until Season Two due to issues such as cheaters, suboptimal network conditions, and persistent bugs.
