I’m so excited for the 1.7 update to Stardew Valley! Apparently, ConcernedApe is adding two new people you can marry! It’s awesome because right now there are already 12 characters you can romance and eventually marry, but you have to become really good friends with them first – get their hearts all the way up to 10 and complete a few tasks.
In the upcoming 1.7 update to Stardew Valley, Clint and Sandy will be added as potential marriage partners. This announcement was made by the game’s creator, ConcernedApe, in a video released on the ConcernedApe YouTube channel, where he revealed the news by opening an envelope labeled “1.7 Marriage Candidates.”
Stardew Valley 1.7 Will Let You Romance Clint & Sandy
Clint and Sandy are well-loved characters in Stardew Valley, so it’s fitting they’re being recognized this way. While Clint, the town blacksmith, can be a bit controversial due to some of his personality traits, he still has many supporters. Giving him a romance option in the game could be a great way for him to grow and address his weaknesses.
Sandy runs a shop in the Calico Desert in the game Stardew Valley. After the 1.1 update, she received a lot of support from players who wanted her to be a marriage option – over 20% voted for her! While the game developers could create entirely new characters for players to romance, letting players build relationships with characters they already know and like, such as Sandy, is likely to be more popular.
There’s still potential for new characters to become marriage candidates in future updates to Stardew Valley. While development on Stardew Valley might slow down as the creator, ConcernedApe, focuses on their new game, Haunted Chocolatier, it seems they aren’t planning to stop supporting Stardew Valley completely.
Stardew Valley Is The Gift That Keeps On Giving
Most games aren’t supported with updates for ten years, particularly when that support includes a constant stream of free new content. Given that Stardew Valley originally cost just $14.99, players have definitely gotten a great value, and the newest characters you can marry are just an added bonus.
The 10-year anniversary video was awesome! It showed how Stardew Valley started – I got to see some really early, rough versions of the game and how it slowly became the amazing thing we all play today. It didn’t reveal anything new about who we can marry, but honestly, as a long-time fan, it was just really cool to see the history of the game and remember how far it’s come. It’s a great way to celebrate everything Stardew Valley has become!
