Our first details about Star Wars Zero Company are here.
At last, we’ve learned the title for the latest Star Wars game from Respawn Entertainment and Bitreactor! This anticipated title, often referred to as the Star Wars equivalent of XCOM, has an official name: Star Wars: Zero Squad (assuming “Company” is shortened to “Co.” in this context).
Here are some details that will be unveiled before the formal reveal, which takes place later this week at the Star Wars Celebration happening in Japan. This highly anticipated game will make its official debut during a dedicated panel scheduled for April 19th.
We’ve collected all the latest info on the game and plan to keep you updated as new details emerge this week. Save this page for later and drop by again!
What sort of game is Star Wars Zero Company?
Zero Company is designed for one player and follows a strategy where turns are taken instead of continuous action. It’s often compared to another game called XCOM. This turn-based game requires you to guide your troops during combat, aiming to defeat enemies and accomplish missions.
A Star Wars-themed strategy game similar to XCOM could be a fantastic fit, given the wide array of character classes it could incorporate and considering that battles are integral to the Star Wars universe’s narrative.
What era will the game be set in?
The game’s time period remains uncertain, but based on today’s artwork reveal, we have a glimpse of some elements that will appear in the game. The main poster unveils characters such as a Mandalorian, a Jedi, a Phase Two Clone Trooper, and an individual displaying a hologram of a B1 Battle Droid.

These games seem to take place during or before Order 66, and possibly even during the Clone Wars. However, it doesn’t rule out the possibility that other eras will also be included, which we’ll find out more about on the 19th.
When will Star Wars Zero Company release and on what platforms?
Since the game isn’t scheduled to launch until April 2025, you shouldn’t anticipate it coming out right away. The plan is for it to be available on major consoles and PC, but we’re waiting for official announcements. A late 2025 release might be optimistic, so a 2026 launch isn’t entirely unexpected either.
