This renewed demand arises following the finale of the highly acclaimed Disney+ series, Andor. The second season of Andor has garnered exceptional ratings, with each of its final five episodes receiving scores of 9.5 or higher on IMDb.

It appears unlikely that the calls will lead to success, considering the cancellation of the Star Wars FPS game last year and DICE, who might have created Battlefront 3, being occupied with the next Battlefield project. At present, there seems to be no plans for a third Battlefront instalment, but given continued interest, things could change. Nevertheless, people will continue to inquire about it.

Alongside Andor Season 2, there’s been a re-release of Revenge of the Sith and a fresh animated limited series launched to mark May 4th.

Battlefront 2 player counts rise

This surge in excitement and participation isn’t merely a fleeting trend on social media. The rapid growth in player count is evident not only on Steam, where it’s escalating significantly, but also likely to be mirrored on console platforms as well. This phenomenon appears to outgrow the typical spike witnessed on May 4th, suggesting a more substantial and lasting impact.

The surge of players we’re seeing shows no signs of abating, pushing the peak player count close to a lifelong high on Steam. Important to mention, this game didn’t launch on Steam; it joined the platform only three years ago.
