Billie Lourd, the daughter of the late Carrie Fisher of Star Wars fame, recently spoke about how much her mother continues to influence her life, marking nine years since Fisher’s passing.
On December 27th, 2025, actress Lourd posted a touching message on Instagram. She shared photos of herself with her parents and her children, explaining that her mother, Fisher, will continue to live on through her grandchildren. Lourd wrote about how thankful she is to be woken up by her kids’ hugs and kisses, and that she told them how much their grandmother would have adored them.
She continued her heartfelt message, explaining how much happiness her children bring her, and that happiness is all thanks to her mother. She shared that although her mother is no longer with us, her legacy lives on in the lives she helped create.
