At an early stage in her life, Osha was parted from her family and admitted as a Padawan at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Here, she received training under Master Sol. Regrettably, she did not graduate from her training, opting instead to take up various jobs outside the Order across the vast expanse of the galaxy.

Despite not having finished her training, Osha exhibits impressive abilities in lightsaber fighting. In the climactic fight scene of The Acolyte, it is her anger that propels her. By the end of the series, she still has much to learn, but given the show’s cancellation, viewers may never witness the complete display of Osha’s lightsaber mastery.

The Tragic Inquisitor Is a Worthy Opponent to Cal Kestis

At the close of the Clone Wars, Trilla Suduri was a fledgling Jedi. However, following Order 66 and the Empire’s rise, she was seized and brutally tormented by them. The anguish from her master’s betrayal drove her to embrace the Dark Side, leading her to join the Inquisitorious. As the Second Sister, Trilla takes on the role of the primary adversary in the video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, where she clashes with another ex-Jedi, Cal Kestis.

As a follower, I can attest that the Second Sister is an imposing adversary, skilfully employing her lightsaber to vanquish her enemies. She stands as a formidable opponent for Kestis, who is equally adept in combat. Yet, much like the Inquisitors, she seems insignificant when compared to her master, Darth Vader. Instead of resisting, she submits when Vader confronts her, allowing the dark lord to end her life with a single stroke of his saber.

The Jedi Padawan Falls to the Dark Side During the Clone Wars

As a dedicated movie critic, allow me to share my thoughts on Barriss Offee’s journey in the Clone Wars saga. Initially, this formidable character stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the Republic and the Jedi Order, engaging in fierce battles against the Separatist Alliance and their robotic troops during the pivotal Battle of Geonosis. Accompanied by my esteemed master, Luminara Unduli, Barriss Offee was among a select few Jedi who emerged victorious from this grueling conflict.

Throughout the ensuing years of the war, Barriss continued to serve as a critical asset for the Jedi Order. However, the course of her life took an unexpected turn when she chose to betray her fellow Jedi by orchestrating a devastating bombing on Coruscant’s temple.

This transformation from trusted ally to treacherous adversary adds a layer of complexity and intrigue to Barriss Offee’s character, making her journey in the Clone Wars an engaging and thought-provoking tale.

As a Padawan apprentice, Barriss demonstrates exceptional skill with a lightsaber, employing both offensive and defensive maneuvers masterfully during the Battle of Geonosis, an engagement that claimed the lives of numerous Jedi knights more powerful than her. Intriguingly, she even stands toe-to-toe against Anakin Skywalker in combat, a warrior who would eventually take the lives of many strong Jedi over the ensuing years. Interestingly, when Barriss ultimately chooses to lay down her weapon and cease fighting, it is then that her fate takes a turn.

The Jedi Master Rescues Grogu From Order 66

Kelleran Beq is a secretive figure within the Jedi Order, whose sole appearance occurs in a flashback scene from “The Mandalorian”. He’s one of the Jedi who knows about Grogu, a youngling belonging to Master Yoda’s species and possessing a powerful connection to the Force. During the attack by the Clone Army on the night of Order 66, Beq manages to save Grogu and battles through to reach safety.

Despite limited appearances of Kelleran Beq, his brief moments suggest an extraordinary mastery over the lightsaber. Remarkably, in the chaos of Order 66, Beq battled through hordes of clone troopers and managed to rescue Grogu. As of now, Beq’s destiny remains unknown, but it is presumed that he met his end prior to the Original Trilogy.

Rey Has Promise but Is Only at the Beginning of Her Journey

In the Star Wars sequel trilogy, Daisy Ridley’s character Rey assumes the role of Skywalker, transitioning from a scavenger living in the desolate landscape of Jakku to becoming the galaxy’s last Jedi. She embarks on a hazardous mission to locate the missing Jedi Master, Luke Skywalker, before the First Order can get their hands on him. During her journey, she is mentored by this legendary figure, learning the mysteries of the Force and mastering the art of lightsaber combat. Following Luke’s passing, Rey decided to honor his memory by taking on his name and establishing a new Jedi Order.

Though Rey successfully defeated Emperor Palpatine in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, it was her mastery of the Force rather than swordsmanship that proved crucial. Despite her ongoing learning process when it comes to wielding a lightsaber, which appears to be a diminishing skillset in the Sequel Trilogy period, there’s exciting news that post-Episode IX, Rey will have an opportunity to demonstrate how far she has advanced in this aspect of Jedi training.

Mundi Survives Longer Than Most Jedi When the Clones Turn

Ki-Adi-Mundi is a prominent Jedi figure who sits on the Jedi High Council throughout the Prequel Trilogy. Being one of the elder members of the Order, Master Mundi holds great respect among his fellow Jedi, yet some doubt creeps in regarding his moral decisions when it comes to war strategies. Despite these concerns, he proves himself to be a highly respected military commander during the entire duration of the Clone Wars.

Ki-Adi-Mundi isn’t usually involved in combat, but when he is, it showcases his exceptional abilities. Interestingly, his most remarkable action sequence happens to be his final one. During the Battle of Mygeeto, he senses that his clone troopers have turned against him due to Order 66. In an impressive display, he deflects several of their blasts, managing to hold them off for a longer period than most Jedi. Regrettably, even with these skills, he is unable to survive the attack and falls among the many casualties.

Ezra Hasn’t Used a Lightsaber in Years

Ezra Bridger is a young Jedi apprentice taught by Kanan Jarrus following the fall of the Jedi Order. Originally an orphaned scavenger hailing from Lothal, Ezra developed his Force abilities while assisting the growing Rebel Alliance in their continuous battle against the evil Galactic Empire. However, just before the commencement of the Galactic Civil War, Ezra mysteriously vanished during the Battle of Lothal, along with Grand Admiral Thrawn, as they traveled beyond the limits of known space.

Despite being a proficient young Jedi in his earlier years, Ezra’s skills were somewhat stunted due to the absence of a proper Jedi Order for guidance. This meant he could only reach as high a level as his master could teach him. During his exile, there was no training at all. In the storyline of Ahsoka, Ezra is not quite sharp with a lightsaber, yet it’s evident that his abilities haven’t completely deteriorated. Later on, when viewers encounter him again, Ezra Bridger might have regained his peak form in wielding a lightsaber.

Mae Cheated to Get Ahead but Still Won Most of Her Battles

In my recent viewing experience of Disney+’s captivating series, “The Acolyte,” I found myself immersed in the journey of Mae-ho Aniseya, a student to an enigmatic new Sith Lord known merely as The Stranger. Born and nurtured within a coven of witches sensitive to the Force, Mae and her twin sister Osha were unexpectedly discovered by a band of Jedi intent on their training back on Coruscant. Tragically, their sanctuary met with devastation when a temple fire erupted, leaving Osha as the sole survivor known to man. Remarkably, Mae managed to dig her way out from the ruins, eventually falling into the hands of the Sith Lord who vowed to instruct her in the arts of the Dark Side.

Mae demonstrates immense strength as a Sith apprentice, eliminating numerous Jedi Masters during her training. Notably, she seldom employs a lightsaber; this is not due to an absence of skill with the weapon, but rather her master requires her to refrain from using it while undergoing her ultimate test. In this trial without a lightsaber, Mae triumphs over several Jedi Knights in combat, although she frequently resorts to dubious tactics such as endangering innocent lives to disorient her adversaries.

Baylan Skoll’s Young Apprentice Lacks Skill but Has Strength

In the Disney+ series “Ahsoka,” Shin Hati emerges as a secretive young woman shrouded in enigma. Initially presented without an origin, she is portrayed as being consumed by anger. Alongside her master, they engage in conflict with Ahsoka Tano and the New Republic. Ultimately, they manage to outmaneuver them, leading them to Grand Admiral Thrawn’s whereabouts. Their actions ultimately pave the way for Thrawn’s return, which sets the galaxy on a path towards another devastating civil war.

In the first season of Ahsoka, Shin Hati frequently duels with Sabine Wren, who was then Ahsoka Tano’s apprentice. Throughout these fights, Shin emerges victorious, demonstrating her superior skill as a swordswoman. It becomes evident that Shin harnesses her anger and fury as a power source in battle, making her all the more formidable. However, this same characteristic also leaves her exposed, as she doesn’t always think through her strategy beforehand.

Carrie-Anne Moss Plays a Strong Jedi Master in The Acolyte

Character Introduced in Disney+’s The Acolyte: Master Indara. Known for her role in The Matrix, Carrie-Anne Moss portrays this Jedi Master. Before the series, she was part of a tragedy that claimed many lives within Osha and Mae’s coven. Alongside Masters Sol and Kelnacca, Indara and her Padawan Torbin concealed this mishap and trained Osha in the ways of the Jedi, unaware that her twin sister had miraculously survived and sought retribution.

In the initial sequence of The Acolyte, Master Indara engages in an impressive battle with Mae, demonstrating her superior fighting abilities. However, it is later revealed that Mae manipulated the situation by endangering an innocent spectator’s life, which gave her the opportunity to deliver the fatal blow to Indara. Flashbacks throughout the story depict Indara as a formidable fighter, capable of matching skills with even a Wookiee in combat.
