People change significantly between their 20s and even their 30s, and that’s especially true for Spock, considering his journey to understand his human side. It’s plausible that by the time of the original Star Trek, Spock might prioritize strict Vulcan logic, as his emotions are naturally stronger than those of humans. However, Strange New Worlds has provided a compelling backstory, and the original series supports the idea that this shift in Spock’s personality could stem from a tragic event.
