Tilting Point is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its sci-fi RPG, Star Trek Timelines, ten years after players first joined the fight for the galaxy with iconic characters and ships. To mark the occasion, they’ve launched a massive update featuring a huge Borg event, new gameplay features, unique crew members, and much more.

Okay, so the big 10th anniversary event is starting with something called Assimilation Day! It’s a month-long thing based on the ending of Star Trek: Picard Season 3, which was awesome. Basically, the Borg are trying to mess up Convergence Day, and we get to jump in with our crews to protect the timeline. Honestly, it feels super fitting for a Star Trek game – defending the Federation, you know? It really captures that spirit.

Participating will reward you with unique crew members, including Borg-themed characters like Prisoner Picard and Assimilated Georgiou, plus others like Marooned Gorn and C.O.P. Kirk. You’ll also unlock the nostalgic First Year of Convergence Collection, featuring classic crew from 2016 and a special, exclusive Guinan.

10th anniversary Update brings various in-game features and rewards

So, along with the event, the update is packed with some really cool new stuff to do in the game. Here’s what’s been added:

  • Fleet Boss Battle: Borg Cube: With this, you can enjoy new boss encounter, along with fresh mechanics, a Captain’s Bridge and unique rewards.
  • All-New Crew: You can pick from Determined Worf, Critical Strike Picard and Impish Riker.
  • Seasonal Shop: You can unlock rotating seasonal rewards by earning tokens from Voyages and the Gauntlet.
  • Collection Packs: The updates also introduces a smarter system designed for collectors of all levels.

I appreciate that the game is recognizing the original artist who created the earliest artwork for Timelines. They’re doing this by giving long-time players a new avatar featuring Maria Picasso i Piquer, along with a time-lapse of her art and a question-and-answer session.
