William Shatner, the famous actor known for his role in Star Trek, was briefly hospitalized on Wednesday afternoon due to a blood sugar issue, according to people familiar with the situation.
William Shatner, 94, best known as Captain Kirk from the original Star Trek series, reportedly became unwell at his home in Los Angeles.
According to sources, he contacted emergency services when the problem happened, and a Los Angeles Fire Department ambulance responded to the location.
Sources told TMZ he was taken to a nearby hospital for checkups and is now resting comfortably and recovering well.
William Shatner continues to work on acting roles and makes appearances at fan conventions, such as Dragon Con in Atlanta, where he participated in a panel discussion just last month.
