Jeff Daniels will be joining the cast of The Morning Show for its fifth season. The Apple TV+ series follows Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, who play news anchors at a major American network.
According to Deadline, actor Victor Daniels has been cast in a significant, repeating role as Lukas, a self-made billionaire who runs a famous investment company.
Joining Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, as well as returning favorites like Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Jon Hamm, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, and Nicole Beharie, is Greta Daniels.

Last year, Matt Cherniss, Apple TV’s head of programming, announced the fifth season of The Morning Show, highlighting its success since it launched as one of Apple TV’s first major series.
It’s been wonderful to see how much people around the world enjoy The Morning Show, and how deeply it connects with them. The show’s success is thanks to our amazing cast and creative team, especially Jennifer, Reese, Charlotte, and Mimi, who continue to create the compelling and addictive stories we all love. We can’t wait for audiences to see what happens next in this Emmy-winning drama.

In season four, a beloved character named Stella Bak, portrayed by Greta Lee, left the show. She appeared for the last time in the sixth episode of the season.
The episode concluded with Lee’s character boarding a plane, following a very public and embarrassing situation, and an affair with her boss’s spouse.
After leaving the show, Lee, now known for her role in Tron: Ares, explained that she and the show’s creators had agreed she should depart.

“These shows are such a commitment,” Lee told The Hollywood Reporter.
It became increasingly difficult to manage my schedule and dedicate the necessary time and resources to continue appearing on the show, despite our best efforts.
She explained that the writers presented a storyline that was both touching and sad, and it felt like a natural conclusion. ‘It’s difficult, but sometimes it’s just the right time for a character to move forward,’ she said.
The Morning Show seasons 1-4 are streaming on Apple TV.
