Tencent Games has unveiled the “Resonance Test,” which is a closed beta phase for their upcoming MMORPG, “Star Resonance.” This open-world game, inspired by Bandai Namco’s “Blue Protocol,” will commence its beta testing on April 24, 2025, in China for both Android and PC platforms. Previously tested in China, the game is now accepting new recruits for this upcoming phase.

Star Resonance is an anime-themed, open-world multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG), created by Shanghai Bokura Network under the Blue Protocol IP, a fresh gaming concept. Initially scheduled for a worldwide release in 2024, the launch was postponed, and the game was officially closed down in Japan in January 2025.

In this game, you embark on thrilling journeys to discover your past, fight off creatures, conquer dungeons, and save the realm of Regnas. You have the option to pick from seven distinct character classes, each with its own set of twelve combat techniques. Additionally, you can engage in parkour, soar above various landscapes, and roam freely.

I’m primarily thrilled about the extensive character customization it provides, with around 120 modifiable body attributes and over 250 options for coloring and coordinating outfits. Additionally, its robust social components seem appealing, featuring group dances, fireworks celebrations, as well as tranquil activities such as gathering around a campfire, taking naps, and other leisurely pursuits.
