Caracal Games unveiled their forthcoming open-world sci-fi adventure titled “Star Overdrive“.
In this game, you’ll journey across an extraterrestrial world, using a hoverboard as your primary means of navigating the rugged landscape.
There seems to be a lively, almost Hi-Fi Rush-esque vibe, characterized by electric guitar tunes and vibrant, comics-inspired imagery.
It also brings to mind Solar Ash, from Heart Machine, the studio that gave us Hyper Light Drifter.
The description reads:
Following the enigmatic emergency transmission, you’ll set off on a thrilling journey across an extraterrestrial landscape, unearthing hidden mysteries buried within its core. Navigate breathtaking terrains aboard your sleek Hoverboard, encountering alien architecture ranging from scorching deserts to wavy oceans, all designed to test the boundaries of your navigation abilities.
Star Overdrive is out on 19th June, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC/
