As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share that the brilliant minds at GSC Game World have rolled out another patch for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. This latest update addresses some lingering issues in the game, getting us one step closer to the next significant update that’s slated to arrive “very soon”.
As per the studio’s report, the recent update addresses problems related to shader compilation, memory leaks found in the Rostok region, system crashes, and certain performance drops experienced during shooting or aiming on extended gameplay sessions.
Update 1.1.4 is a rather modest improvement, yet it addresses the problem of saved games being lost on Xbox Series X|S consoles, which is certainly positive news. For a quick overview of the changes in this patch, you can check out the compact summary provided below. And if you’re curious about the enhancements made in the previous update, Patch 1.1, it addressed over 1,800 issues, as detailed here.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Patch 1.1.4:
- Fixed crashes and freeze on shaders compilation
- Fixed memory leak occurred at Rostok location
- Fixed performance degradation when shooting/aiming on saves with long playtime
- Implemented fixes, that should solve the problem causing saves to be lost on Xbox
- Fixed a random crash related to UI animations.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is available for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
